The Scorpio full Moon falls on Friday, April 22. This is a very interesting, and for many, very rewarding lunation. The Sabian Symbols that go with the planetary energies are really quite extraordinarily wonderful - 'Neighbors Coming Together', 'Steps Up To A Lawn Blooming With Clover', 'Jewelry Shops Filled With The Most Valuable Gems', 'The Boxer Entering The Ring', 'The Gate To The Garden Of All Fulfilled Desire', 'The Royal Coat Of Arms Enriched With Precious Stones' - and more - the Symbols contain a host of encouraging and desirable images.

For sure, though, there are stresses in amongst it all, especially as we have some very strong
retrogrades happening - Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, and soon, on the 28th April, Mercury. This can be a somewhat frustrating time, especially with Mars retrograding until the beginning of July. Plans we may have been wanting to push forward with may need to have some revisions, second guesses, wrinkles ironed out - all those kinds of things, and more.

With all those retrogrades, we still have this push to forge forward, particularly with Venus on Aries 21: The Boxer Entering The Ring conjuncting (together with) Uranus on Aries 22: The Gate Opens To The Garden Of All Fulfilled Desires. What a combination. As I have said before, I see this two degrees as a type of binary: One steps up to the plate and then steps through the gate.

Venus together with Uranus in Aries is likely to bring up issues to do with relationships, money, values, how we get along with others in society, our desires for the future, etc. Uranus - the planet of breaking through - breaking through old stories, letting go, wanting to take up the new, and, there can be a feeling of being cut off, disinterested and uninvolved.

Feeling frustrated or somewhat impatient with progress can lead to outbursts of energy - not always useful, not always timely. Still, we are reprogramming our lives in many ways - the transit of Venus over Uranus at this full Moon is preceded by Venus squaring Pluto a few days before. This means that Venus is likely to be giving us a shake-up in some measure. With the square to Pluto from Venus, we are being asked to examine our boundaries - how much are we doing for ourselves and for others? Sometimes, we are giving away our power to others, other times, we may be stepping over boundaries when we perhaps shouldn't OR we might feel that others are doing that with us (and possibly both at the same time).

From this realization, we can see where we need to cut ties, forge new ones, bring completion to some issues, to clean up issues to do with the past, etc.

Mercury in Taurus is in an nice exact trine with the Moon's north nodes and Jupiter, both in Virgo. This can bring a shift in that we have new contacts, new perspectives, new opportunities, new alliances, etc. This can feel like a fated time, as we are further being asked to embrace the future and to let go of the past. There can be a feeling of a new dimension in communications, innovation, etc, and, a desire to earth them into reality. There is an interesting power attached to this, as there is also a trine from Pluto in Capricorn (all of these signs are earth signs), making this aspect a grand tine, which is an auspicious earth trine, especially with these planets and the node involved.

Over the coming weeks, Jupiter will be in an exact square aspect with Saturn. The urge to break out, do something or go somewhere different, to throw off the memories, the burdens, the scent, the restrictions, etc, of the old can bring a sense of when will this end.

Also, over the coming weeks, Jupiter goes direct and forms a trine with Pluto, bringing a greater sense of personal power, breakthroughs in understanding, and a firmer sense of where to from here. A closer look at the political and moral landscape comes from this aspect, along with a need for freedom from more and more repressive legislations and regimes. Rules and laws can be enforced or enacted, whether personal or political, and some will be welcome while others are likely to be leading to more control by the State. Arguments about who is right and who is right, who is moral and who is not, who is fit to govern and who is not, along with issues to do with the controlling elite and their money are bound to heat up. Although cushioned by the trine aspect, this trine between Jupiter and Pluto are in earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn respectively - this can bring up issues of "my word is law".

On a more personal level, we may feel the need to take on bigger plans, our beliefs can begin to align more with our possibilities, and we may be actively taking part in ensuring our rights, and the rights of others, are respected. Although there can be a big push forward felt, we still have to remember that a lot of planetary energies are retrograde, with Mars, in particular, retrograde until the end of June. This should, where possible, perhaps be more of a time for building behind the scenes more than launching into full-scale projects. Having said that, of course, there will be some projects that you have to launch into now, just make sure that you cover your bases. On a positive note, especially if you're covering old ground, a lot can be achieved now, especially by having good friends, supporters or allies in your life. This retrograde period can be wonderful for resolving issues from the past, making forward movement so much more rewarding.

Taking that into account, with stationary retrograde Mars squaring Neptune, we may not be seeing the forest for the trees, although the view can be wonderfully interesting, and the colors can range from inspiring to depressing. There can be a sense of combativeness - except - what one is combating is unclear, hidden, vague, or merely a circus.

For some, there's a desire to transcend the baser, more distressing layers of life in favor of peace and tranquility. It can come at a cost, though, if one is not paying attention. Mars and Neptune don't see eye-to-eye so well, they tend to combat each other in ways that can be nebulous and sneaky. Issues to do with how much we are prepared to sacrifice our own needs, step up and help others and reach out to those who can't (or won't) help themselves, can come up.

People can step over their boundaries, especially with gossip or negative thoughts, and this can have consequences and these are sometimes largely nebulous or unseen, until the lid pops off. The Sabian Symbol for Mars can speak of issues of being led by the hand and the Neptune one speaks of judgment; being judged and judging others. Neptune works in mysterious ways and it can roll in like a fog. As long as boundaries, again, are clear, we can resolve things that have been hanging in the air lately.

Still, the retrogrades - all the retrograde activity can make for interesting times. We may have to backtrack, rethink, reschedule, revise, etc. Those who interested in the political processes going on - both Australia and the US are having major elections this year - will see that a lot of the Symbols for the planets listed below paint a quite a picture of what's going on. It is fascinating.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased - it's like we can see in the dark - and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it's lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there's magic unleashed with every full Moon.

The Full Moon is on Scorpio 3: NEIGHBORS HELP IN A HOUSE-RAISING PARTY IN A SMALL VILLAGE

This is quite an inspiring degree - it talks about communities coming together, forming groups in order to cater to the requirements, sometimes quite basic requirements, of those in the community. People come out to share their ideas, their plans and their enthusiasm for building a better community (or world). It's interesting to note that this Symbol is Hillary Clinton's Sun degree and she wrote a book entitled It Takes A Village.

It takes a whole village to raise a child. Traditional African proverb.

Of course, as this is a full Moon, and in Scorpio with Mars stationing retrograde, not everyone is going to want to be on the same team. That can cause ructions, and, often, there can be a need to find one's true community - a place where you can feel supported, protected and safe.

The following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom -

Commentary: ‘Neighbors Help in a House Raising Party in a Small Village’. They come together to help each other out and to get to know each other better. By acting as a community, rather than as separate individuals, small, large, or even very difficult projects can be undertaken and completed more quickly and efficiently. People bring their individual talents and expertise with them. The sharing of these experiences will build community values and friendships. However, there needs to be a careful watch on how some people contribute as unskilled labor can end up costing both time and money.

Oracle: In this situation, great things can be achieved if everyone works together. Any efforts directed towards giving value and stability to one’s community will be rewarded in some measure. Friends and those close to you can help you in any endeavor, big or small. Having faith in those around you can help bring a sense of belonging and relationship to your life. Sometimes a home or a community needs to be built or renovated in some way, with people coming together and everyone putting in their share of dedication, commitment and hard labor. There can be a feeling that there is so much to do on the domestic scene that other considerations have to be put on hold for the time being. People must all have a higher sense of purpose, otherwise some may work at cross-purposes, undermining people or even entire families. Is there a need for people to assist you because someone in your life has left behind their responsibilities? If you are in need of ‘Help’, making a wish for assistance to arrive may bring a bigger response than you expected!

Keywords: Cooperation. Real estate deals. Community concerns. Buying or building houses. Renting apartments and homes. Needing help to find shelter. The agreement of neighbors to maintain community harmony. “Raising the roof”. Parties. Dormitories. Having to consider the needs of lots of people. Match making. Community halls. Understanding what it takes to make a village of people. Communal governance or being blocked by rules, laws and regulations of bureaucracy. Homeless shelters. Tools. Building expertise. Helping hands.

The Caution: Taking advantage of generosity. Refusing to cooperate in group endeavors. Building bigger and better things. Bickering over who does what. Not trusting people’s input.

The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy - yours and others.

The following interpretations are my shortened interpretations that are contained in the reports on my website.

The Sun is on Taurus 3: NATURAL STEPS UP TO A LAWN BLOOMING WITH CLOVER - this is a beautiful degree and it can have us feeling that we are the brink of receiving the rewards of bounty, good luck, nourishment, fulfillment, etc. It can feel like one is either in, or approaching, their 'land of milk and honey'.

This Symbol often shows comfort, luxury, riches, beauty and the good things in life. It implies that a time of fulfillment is close by, but there often is still some small effort to be made - one has to take the simple steps towards allowing the wonderful things you desire into your life. Keep going the way you are, following your natural intuition, and you will find the peace you have in sight. Just be aware not to become complacent or lazy as doing nothing and not putting any effort in could lead to great possibilities slipping away.

Keywords: Hopefulness. Inspirational possibilities. Gradually enlarging one's vision. Harmony. Seasonal changes. Running around on grass. Bare feet. The beauty of greenery and flowers. Stability on the path. Steps that invite one on to bigger and better things. Abundance, nourishment. Making small efforts that can lead to large returns. Places to spread out and relax. Having plenty of room to move. Gardens and parks.

The Caution: Looking for the easy way out. Not making the effort to find what is a few steps away. Expecting everything to be laid out for you. Weeds and unkempt lives.

The Quest Degree for the Sun is Taurus 4: THE POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW

This Symbol speaks about connecting your inner thoughts with your rational conscious mind so you can communicate the feelings you wish to share. Like the ‘Rainbow’, this is not really about the elusive ‘Pot of Gold’ at its end, but rather it speaks of the wonder the rainbow creates as it links heaven and earth. Rewards will come from creative efforts built on talent and application. Good things sometimes just fall out of nowhere.

Keywords: The promise of riches, in whatever forms these may take. Creative imagination. Goals and ambitions. Alchemy. Splashes of color. Rewards contained. The search for the treasure. Seeking communion with nature and life's bounty. Wealth derived from changing perspective. Talent and beauty. Fantasies. Illusions vs. reality. Fairylands. A golden key will open every lock. Yiddish Proverb

The Caution: Seeking easy, tempting solutions. Thinking that rewards are "just over the horizon". Elusive success. Castles in the air. Pipe dreams. Giving up on dreams.

The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy - yours and others.

Mercury is on Taurus 22: A WHITE DOVE FLYING STRAIGHT AND FEARLESSLY OVER TROUBLED WATERS

This Symbol implies a talent for bringing calm, protection and good tidings to those who need help. Although there may be trouble all around, you are able to rise above this and find safe ground. You may have to cross over into the dark side in order to bring order and safety to people’s lives. Even though you, or someone else, may be lost from sight for a while and some may feel abandoned, they will return and bring guidance to safety and reassurance. You may need to send, or receive, a message to those who could be feeling left out and in need of reassurance.

Keywords: Transcending worries through spiritual awareness. Prophetic missions. Peace. Healing messages from the "other side". Overcoming phobias. Fearlessness. Feelings of immortality. Going straight for the objective. Calming troubled minds. Redemption and messages of hope. Couriers.

The Caution: Being too caught up in worries. Not being able to accept that things are getting better or any form of solace. Always dipping into dramatic situations.

The Quest Degree for Mercury is Taurus 23: A JEWELRY SHOP FILLED WITH THE MOST MAGNIFICENT JEWELS

This Symbol points to an abundance of beauty, talent, riches or potentiality. This degree brings the message of admiring the achievements of others whilst also allowing yours to be recognized and admired as well. Realize that what you need is either at hand or soon will be. Also, something you create can last way beyond your own years. Believing in yourself and those around you can bring a wonderful sense of reward and fulfillment. Try wearing special jewelry to remind you of your self-worth, talent, ability and beauty.

Keywords: Great talent, wealth, rewards and gifts. Beauty that brings joy. Materialization of perfection. Judges of worth. Things that shine. Jewelry, stones, gold and silver. Shops, especially those that have beautiful displays. The rewards and bounty of the natural world. Treasure of any description. Purity. Genius. Crystals. Security guards. Window shopping. Personal Adornments. Things that glimmer.

The Caution: Wanting more than one's share of rewards, even if there is plenty to share. Things for looking at, not touching. Being jealous of other's success. Pilfering.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.

Venus is on Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING

This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. You may feel a need, or the urge, to step up to the plate and take something or someone on. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. Make sure you possess the skills and training to defend what you believe. Remember that sometimes you need to back off if you're not winning a contest. Question: is someone on the attack or the defense?

Keywords: Physical or psychological self - assertion and determination. Attack or defense? Fighting for emotional, psychological or physical space. Being seen as a person of strength. Throwing punches. Fighting on any level. Being prepared to take a swing at someone or something. Stepping up to the plate. Throwing down the gauntlet. Going after the title. Big vs. small egos.

The Caution: Using power to dominate people or those who challenge you. Wanting to knock people out. Storming in and taking over. Looking for combat. Being combative.

The Quest Degree for Venus is Aries 22: THE GATE OPENS TO THE GARDEN OF ALL FULFILLED DESIRES

This Symbol brings up fabulous opportunities and possibilities. You could find yourself in beautiful places with your desires met. There can be the promise of happiness; stability and feeling like you’ve arrived where you want to be. At times, though, you may be right at the point of what you want, but perhaps you need to make the deliberate action of opening the gate; admitting to your self what you want and where you want to be. Perhaps you need to knock, showing your intention of wanting in. Maybe you already have everything you need - look around.

Keywords: Craving happiness. Gardens and their treasures. Trellises and flowing plants. Pathways to bliss. Gates and doors. Unlocking and opening gates and doors. Analyzing your heart's desires. The grass being greener on the other side. Rewards and treasures waiting. The allure of somewhere else. Initiations. Passages to a better life. Acquiring property. Sexual fulfillment. Opening up to life's possibilities and rewards.

The Caution: Denying your self the right to receive just rewards. The grass being greener on the other side. Always wanting more and more. Possessions owning you.

Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.

Mars is on Sagittarius 9: A MOTHER LEADS HER SMALL CHILD STEP BY STEP UP THE STAIRS

This Symbol shows being able to lend a hand to those who need it, whether they are youngsters or not. It pictures situations where someone needs to assist those less able, experienced or indeed, less evolved, to overcome difficulties and to rise up and learn to cope, learn or understand. You may find yourself as either the experienced or the inexperienced or possibly finding the mother within you guiding your own inner child. It can also show someone caring for elderly relatives or friends. Whatever it is, one needs to have a sense of patience, caring and understanding. Lending a guiding hand to others is very important.

Keywords: The inner child. Guidance and acceptance of those not so "upwardly mobile". Training. Careful consideration of other's immaturity or failings. Staying with the family in order to bring up the children. Guardianship and stewardship. Reversals of roles. Supervising parents. Looking after the younger or the elder. Taking things one by one. Alzheimer's disease. Handicaps. Step-by-step progress.

The Caution: Future vision and hope obscured. Exhausted by parental obligation. Not getting, or giving, the help that one needs. Wanting to be looked after. Lack of supervision.

The Karmic Degree for Mars is Sagittarius 8: DEEP WITHIN THE DEPTHS OF THE EARTH, NEW ELEMENTS ARE BEING FORMED

This Symbol shows a lot going on underneath the surface, often more than other people would suspect. It speaks of shifts, sometimes huge shifts, going on on a deep level, and these are not always evident. Often, changes are quietly happening and all of a sudden the changes are reflected on the outside through an event or a complete shift in attitude. There will be new responses to life coming from deep within your mind and soul. This creation of new and essential levels of awareness is a part of the natural result of inner changes. Although they may not be easy to observe, very strong fundamental changes are happening.

Keywords: Deep elemental processes and change. Shifting of conservative values. Mining in its many forms. Crystal healings. Minerals, mining, colloidal minerals. Organic changes and shifts. Volcanoes and earthquakes. Earth rumblings. Reaching maturity. Earth, wind, fire and water. Mud and steam. Alchemical shifts.

The Caution: Moving forward while elements are still forming. Clinging stubbornly to outworn ways. Unhealthy growths. Denying inner processes as unimportant.

Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.

Jupiter is on Virgo 14: FINELY LETTERED NAMES AND MYSTERIOUS LINES ARE SEEN; IT IS A FAMILY TREE

This shows deep and abiding connections that come from families and their ancestors and individual family trees. There is a need to feel somehow linked with ancestry, a place or belonging. However, this can speak about you belonging to the larger human family – we are all related. Being able to call upon the deeper inherent knowledge within yourself and what's been learnt from past experience, possibly from one's ancestral roots, will help you find great strength. This implies a strong family heritage, but it may come from having a deep connection with people or things that you are not actually related to, but are in your “Family” nonetheless.

Keywords: Strength in tradition. Belonging to a lineage. The story of where one comes from. Issues of pride of heritage. The importance of parents and family. Branches in databases. Having strong and secure roots. Origins and their relevance to today's life. Ancestors. Calligraphy. Fine pens. Filling in the gaps. Adoptions. Step families. Pedigrees. Kin. Genealogy. Inheritance. Family Bibles.

The Karmic Degree for Jupiter is Virgo 13: A POWERFUL STATESMAN OVERCOMES A STATE OF POLITICAL HYSTERIA

This Symbol shows the ability, or the necessity, to be able to calm situations, to solve a crisis, to have a steady hand that shows others that someone is in charge. If this is not operating on a positive level in your life you may want to assess where you need to be doing it. Sometimes our thoughts get out of control, even “Hysterical”, however this is not much use as emotions and events just get whipped up, leading to useless energy flying around. It is through control and the power of your personality that you can resolve situations and bring back a state of equilibrium to all involved.

Keywords: The power to sway the mob. Having the charisma and talent to turn situations around. Elements of personality that get out of control and take over. Pulling the rope tight. Mind control. Political savvy. Knowing what to say and when to say it. Keeping your mouth shut and ears open. Rhetoric. Putting out spot fires. Being motivated. Issues of success.

The Caution: Misusing charismatic energy to sway others to personal advantage.

The Caution: Disassociation or disconnection from family history. Feeling like an alien. Not belonging. Orphans.

Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.

Saturn is on Sagittarius 16: SEA GULLS FLY AROUND A SHIP LOOKING FOR FOOD

This Symbol shows situations of dependence and/or co-dependence. The “Sea Gulls” are looking for sustenance, a place of refuge perhaps, somewhere that’s a reliable source of food. This can imply situations such as social security, foundations that provide food and shelter for people, charities and benefits OR it can imply spongers, borrowers or people who dog others looking to see what they can gain from the things they discard or don’t want. The trick with this is; don't look to others or have others look to you for opportunities and nourishment, for you may miss your chance of being creative and independent. Who's looking for scraps? Are they worth it?

Keywords: Losing sight of alternative possibilities and going for the easy "feed". Issues of dependence. Diminishing one's essential worth while trying to please a specific need. Being opportunistic. Settling for the small things in life. Scalpers. Jettisoning scraps. Leftovers. The rewards and pitfalls of "meal tickets". Issues of social security. The homeless.

The Caution: Waiting for unworthy scraps that may not come. People leaning on each other too much. Bin diving. Users and abusers. Satellites. Hounding and harassing.

The Karmic Degree for Saturn is Sagittarius 15: THE GROUND HOG LOOKING FOR ITS SHADOW ON GROUND HOG DAY

This Symbol shows signs and predictions to give you insights into the future. The solutions to your questions are often close by and easy to perceive and based in your normal life and relationships. By looking at past experience, you may find the signs, however, there’s a need to look closely at what’s happening as you could find yourself on a kind of merry-go-round; waking up each day to the same dilemma, question or problem. Don't try to read too much into situations, but do take a good look at how you come across in relation to other people. Do you keep repeating the same mistakes? Perhaps you help others get over their past, freeing them up for having a better, brighter future.

Keywords: Looking back, reading the signs. Divination and other systems of inquiry. Seeing society as being to blame. People having a good look at how they seem to others. Wondering how others perceive you and picture you. Prophets that can tell the "weather" ahead of time. Predictions. Prognosticating. Welcoming an early spring. Scrutinizing objectives and possible outcomes. Looking to nature for clues.

The Caution: Scared to act without some message of confirmation. Looking for someone to blame. Relying on the same solution without consideration. Blizzards and cold.

The Quest Degree for Saturn is Sagittarius 17: AN EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE DRAWS A LARGE CROWD

This degree shows the ability, and the necessity, of being able to rise up after difficulties in one’s life, somewhat like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. One needs to maintain hope and draw together with others who share a sense of faith in the future and in community and the goodness of life. There will be times of spiritual rebirth where you can rise above the failings of the past into new beginnings. Coming out of doubt and despair can lead to a new sense of love, faith and compassion. Join with others in a spirit of joy. There's a need for unwavering faith in communal spiritual values.

Keywords: Performing deeds with reverence, respect and a sense of celebration. Cohesive communal expressions of faith. The dawning of a new era. Church services. Dawn services. The community gathering for a common purpose. Resurrections and rebirths. Revivals. The need for faith in a bright future. Devotion. Worship.

The Caution: Obsession with the ceremony rather than the purpose or ideal. Feeling unable to lift one's spirits. Disillusionment and loss of vision. Holidays with no meaning.

Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.

Uranus is on Aries 22: THE GATE OPENS TO THE GARDEN OF ALL FULFILLED DESIRES

The Karmic Degree for Uranus is Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING

Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or 'different'. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.

Neptune is on Pisces 12: AN EXAMINATION OF INITIATES IN THE SANCTUARY OF AN OCCULT BROTHERHOOD

This Symbol shows passing the tests that life, other people, spirituality or karma throws at you (or others), and, this degree bring up situations of being judged, or judging. It can seem as though we have to pass some 'qualification' on some level in order to pass into the hallowed halls or the sanctuary.
You are likely to find at times that you are being judged by those above or around you. It is difficult to see what their qualifications to judge you are, but this is often the nature of progression through the ranks. People being critical of one another can lead to better behavior, better performances or the like, or it can lead to feeling judged, violated and intruded upon. It can seem as though our lives are like lessons; we are periodically “Examined” to see how we are doing on our course. Be careful not to shut yourself away to avoid being seen or having to endure criticism.

Keywords: The ordeal that comes to any initiate for entrance into higher realms of being. Hermits. Tests, examinations, having to prove oneself. Being judged or being judgmental. Being cross examined. Rarefied atmospheres that demand personal sacrifice. Initiations. Proving courage and purity. Trials. The attainment of knowledge. Apprenticeships. Being a candidate. Finding out how and where one fits in. One-eyed dedication. Trial by media. Cults. Rituals.

The Caution: Refusing advice. Arrogance. People saying 'I told you so'. Invading other's space. People assuming they know the truth about someone. Failing. Scandals. Stories..

The Quest Degree for Neptune is Pisces 13: A SWORD, USED IN MANY BATTLES, IS NOW IN A MUSEUM

This shows knowing when to stop battling in life, when to lay down one’s “Sword” and take up a higher position that reflects a more intelligent or spiritual way of being in the world. Sometimes, when reminded of the battles of the past, we are influenced towards actions that ensure peace. We are uplifted by the symbolic memory of past deeds of valor, although stings of defeat may be part of the story. You may be faced with the choice of fighting or reasoning which is confused by your lack of training or experience in the ways of “Battle”. Don’t go down with the ship. It helps to lay down one's 'sword' - not in order to surrender, but to stop the 'warring'

Keywords: Willpower. Martial arts. Putting aside thoughts of vengeance and revenge. Hanging up or laying down one's 'Sword'. Trophies of conquest that remind us of the past. History. Aging and maturing. Retirement. Remnants of battles. Souvenirs of the past. "Words as swords". The Spear of Destiny. The Sword Excalibur. Disarming weapons. The search for truth and justice.
