The Galaxy Note 4 from Samsung isn’t the only high-end device using a stylus. Also in this category is the LG G3 Stylus, the benefiter of a Brazil release. It is worth noting that LG released the LG L Bello and LG L Funo not that long ago, and now they’re coming out with the LG G3 Stylus.
It hasn’t been made clear by LG when exactly is the device going to get a release date in Europe and North America, but on the other hand, we know that besides those regions, the device will also come out in South America and Central Asia. The handset is a variation of the LG G3 smartphone. Its predecessor managed to pack a quad HD display unit.
The device is oriented more towards the budget phone branch, presenting mid-range specifications, therefore still having decent features. This is despite what most people think, that the device was meant as a competitor for the Galaxy Note 4, just because they both have a stylus.
Variation will also be in store for those seeking out the device, as LG is offering its customers the possibility of choosing between a regular SIM variant, and a dual SIM variant, the difference between them being self-explanatory.
Aside from dual SIM capabilities, LG’s new device has an impressive 5.5 inch screen using the IPS LCD technology. The maximum resolution here is only 540 x 960 and the pixel density is pretty low as well, only 200 ppi. Not so much variation can be found for the internal memory, which only comes in one model, an 8 GB one. Other specifications include 1 GB of RAM, and a quad core A7 processor. The chip is clocked at 1.3 GHz.
A 13 MP LED flash-equipped camera will be placed on the back of the device, while the front will be secured by a smaller 1.3 MP secondary lens. To power all these components, LG added a pretty large 3000 mAh battery, which will sustain the phone’s life for a decent amount of time. The operating system behind all this is non other than Google’s Android. It doesn’t come with the latest build, but it does come with the latest branding, which is KitKat. The latest version is 4.4.4 whereas the handset comes with Android 4.2.
Since it’s called the LG G3 Stylus, we can’t leave out the actual stylus it’s coming with. The Rubberdium digital pen will enhance the device which supports some pretty great functions, like handwriting, which is made very easy by the stylus, as well as others like Quick Windows or the ability to split the screen in two so you can multi task ( Dual Window).
