• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Stone Mountain State Park will celebrate the centennial of the North Carolina State Park system in conjunction with its 47th birthday celebration by hosting its annual old-fashioned day. Events will include displays and demonstrations on quilting, blacksmithing, looming, fishing lure tying, beekeeping, basket weaving, pottery and more. There will be food, music and games for the children. Those attending are encouraged to carpool as much as possible. There will be no pets allowed in the event area.

• 6:30 to 8:15 p.m., the Upper Yadkin Valley Habitat For Humanity will be sponsoring Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class each Monday at the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce office next door to the Habitat ReStore on Market Street.
