Just bought and installed a new set of Click 6 harnesses on our 2015 S 900.

The install is real easy and they work great but the buying part can be tricky because Polaris has redesigned the way they attach in the center console and the part number situation is confusing to buyers and dealers at least during the change over to the new design.

Click 6 harnesses are different for the driver and passenger side in that the connecting hardware for the lap and leg straps only fits one way. Plus the lap strap connection has been changed, the old version has a quick disconnect clip on the console side that attaches to a ring bolted inside the console, the new version has no quick disconnect and the strap must be threaded through the console opening and it then bolts to a bracket under the console. This redesign sucks because it is now very difficult to remove the center console since the straps are in the way and the straps must be unbolted to completely remove the console.

While Click 6 harnesses are sold individually they are actually matched pairs and should be purchased as a set, driver and passenger.

The old part numbers of these sets are - Driver: 2879845; Passenger: 2880470. These old part numbers have the quick disconnect on the center console side.

The new superseding part numbers are - Driver: 2882244; Passenger: 2882245. These new part numbers have no quick disconnect and the lap straps thread through the center console openings and bolt to a bracket under the console.

Here is how it gets confusing: I ordered my set of harnesses from an online dealer. My order specified part numbers 2879845 and 2880470, both the old version. But I received part numbers 2882244 and 2880470, drivers side was the new version and the passenger side was the old version. The 2 versions are incompatible because it looks ridiculous to have the quick disconnect on one side and not the other and you are still stuck with your center console being very difficult to remove.

This mistake is really Polaris' fault not the online dealer. Polaris cancelled the quick disconnect version and replaced it with the cheaper (for them) version without telling anybody. The dealer I ordered from sells a lot of parts and they had already sold all of the old version driver's side harnesses so they sent me the only thing they could which was the new version. They told me they could not get any of the old version harnesses and cheerfully refunded my money.

Problem was how to get a matching drivers side to go with my old version passenger side. Called around and found a local dealer who had the old version part number still in stock - 2879845. Cost me $30 extra to buy locally and a 1.5 hour trip across town but seemed worth it. Drove over picked up the box, drove home, laid the new harness in the Rzr and guess what? The new harness would not fit, it was actually part number 2880470 (passenger side) even though it came in a box labeled part number 2879845. Don't think the dealer did that on purpose, I bet it was an honest mistake caused by some other customer trying to come up with a matching pair of old version harnesses and somehow the wrong part number harness got put in the wrong box.

Lesson learned, when buying locally if you are given an open box, as I was, carefully check the part number, etc of the contents to make sure you are getting what you expect.

And if you are thinking about Click 6 harnesses, I recommend that you act fast and get the old version which are still in dealer stock here and there around the country. I called around and found dealers that had the correct part and now have a matching set of the old version but when these are sold out you will be stuck with the new version.
