This word is so important!  Way more important than most people want to recognize or admit to.  This is the ole “take a look in the mirror” thing that we always hear about.

Example;  What if we lose a client to another Realtor?  Start by looking at yourself.  Did you follow up regularly?  Did you mis-communicate something?  Did you make a bad impression in some way?  Did you provide the level of service that you yourself would expect from a professional?  Be honest with yourself.  Maybe you did everything you possibly could have and the prospect just wasn’t a good fit. That happens and it’s ok, but we should still go through the process of self-assessing how we may have impacted the outcome.

There are many, many different ways that we can apply this quick self assessment to our real estate businesses on a daily basis.  We just have to be willing to do so, and then improve where improvement is needed.  It’s these little actions that move the needle in our businesses over time and create professional businesses that attract clients and businesses that have longevity in the markeplace.

So, Get Real with yourself first!
