Empower your customers, podcast listeners, blog readers or fans to send you voice messages right from an Internet browser without any phone calls…for free!

SpeakPipe is a new tool I have begun using as a way for my podcast listeners to submit questions, topics or just to say hey! Users visit my SpeakPipe page, click “Start Recording”, enable their microphone and then record their message by talking directly to their computer or mobile device.

Give it a whirl! Click here…and tell me your 2014 Super Bowl prediction.

Overall I give this tool a 4.5 out of 5!

Mobile: It appears the service is only available on iOS.

Cost: Ranges from Free to $39/month.

Free account (which I use, what a cheapskate!) allows you 20 messages per month with a max duration of 90 seconds per message.

How To Use

Sign-up at https://www.speakpipe.com.

Provide your SpeakPipe page link to users.

SpeakPipe can also be embedded in your WordPress blog or website with this free plugin. Customize the location and look of a SpeakPipe button on your website that users can click and record a voice message directly on your website. I choose not to use this feature so that I wouldn’t confuse my visitors with 2 contact buttons. I tried to work with SpeakPipe’s support team (very helpful by the way) to customize the button further but had no luck placing the button where I needed it. More experienced coders would have no problem with this.

Ways To Use

Business Owner: Have satisfied customers provide a testimonial that you can feature on your website.

Customer Service: Have customers submit their questions or issues regarding your product or service.

Sales: Have sales teams call in with their result read outs.

Radio: Have fans submit their name and email for a contest or drawing.

Blog: Have readers submit comments, questions or topics.

Podcast: Have listeners submit questions or topics. (I have begun doing this and will feature listeners calls on future podcasts. Click here to leave me a voice message.)

Voicemails aren’t so evil when you use SpeakPipe. I hope you can leverage this tool as your next generation catalyst.
