Thousands will attend Scandinavia’s largest human rights venue next week in Malmö, Sweden. The Raoul Wallenberg Institute is one of the co-organisers of the conference dedicated to human rights. It will take place from November 17 to 19.
The Swedish Forum for Human Rights, “MR-dagarna”, is an important event, says Rolf Ring, deputy director of RWI. “We are happy to have a number of important panel discussions and presentations on several of the new initiatives and developments in the field of human rights, such as working with human rights cities, the creation of a national human rights institution in Sweden, and new approaches for the protection of migrants and refugees,” he says.
The Institute’s seminars will cover a wide number of human rights issues in Europe, such as why antisemitism is on the rise. But they will also provide a perspective on human rights discussions outside Europe, with a panel debate on the Zimbabwean Constitution’s relationship with human rights.
The seminars will draw participation from Swedish authorities, international experts and academics, and staff at the Institute.
