We spent two nights here as we visited the McDonald Observatory and explored Ft. Davis. This park was OK but frankly I would not stay here again if I had other options in Ft. Davis. The park was clean, and the campground host was helpful, but the campground office was never open and we never saw campground management. The men's room was out of order when we got there and one of the clothes washers was broken. Our visit left me wondering if the park was planning on closing soon. There were a lot of full-timers there; perhaps the park is staying open for them.
