A 16-year-old British teenager has become the youngest person ever to trek the South Pole. Lewis Clarke, who is a schoolboy at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bristol, reached the Amudsen-Scott Pole Station at 6 pm GMT after tugging his sled to the South Pole for 48 days.
