DomainX 2016 day 1 was completely dedicated to Networking and the second day of DomainX 2016 was focused on learning. Learning about the different concepts of Domain Name Investing and opportunities in this monster growing industry.

DomainX 2016 Day 2 begins with the registrations at 9 AM and right after that morning tea was served for all the delegates till 10:30 AM.
Right after that DomainX 2016 Conference was inaugurated by Samiran Gupta (ICANN India) by lightening lamp with Manmeet Pal Singh Mahal and Gaurav Kohli (Co-Founders of DomainX).
Gaurav Kohli handled the stage as a host and welcomed all the dignitaries and delegates arrived from various parts of world.
He then called upon the stage Mr. Samiran Gupta (Head ICANN India) to deliver his presentation. In this presentation he talked about “How the introduction of new Internet domains can create new opportunities for businesses and users, in particular highlighting the economic and societal benefits with the expansion of the DNS. In addition, how IDNs will allow a large number of Indians to access the Internet in their regional languages. Specifics on how DNS stakeholders can engage at ICANN Hyderabad meeting”.
After Samiran Gupta’s presentation then was the session of Jon Yau from Stockphoto.com where he shared the Evolution process of Stockphoto to a highly successful E-Commerce business. Jon yau acquired the Stockphoto.com Domain in $250,000.
After Jon’s session Mr. Pavan Duggal took over the stage. Pavan Duggal is Advocate in Supreme Court of India. His session was dedicated to Indian Cyber Law where he explained “What Domain Name Investors need to know about Indian Cyberlaw”. This was a much needed session for all Indian Domain Name Investors as following the laws can lead you to a build a bigger business in best way legally.
After the legal session of Mr. Pavan Duggal, there was an expert session by Dima Beitzke (Chief Sales Officer of Sedo.com) in which he talked about the hidden champions for your success. How to invest in Premium Domain Names and Sell them on Sedo?
This was a real hot session as Dima collected recent facts and implemented in his presentation. Now it was a high time for a break. Lunch was ahead and a time for fruitful networking.
After lunch break all delegates were ready again to acquire new knowledge. Now there was a panel discussion in which Nivu Hussain (.CLUB), Anand Vora (Donuts Inc.) & Karn Jajoo talked about India as a domain investors market in the perspective of new gTLD.
After this session there was turn of Legal Experts and attorneys. There was panel discussion of top four legal attorneys Zak Muscovitch, Rodney D Ryder, Gurpreet Singh Monga & Ankur Raheja. There was open discussion on acquiring and dealing with domain names legally. “Nothing is off the table folks! Ask away, as the leading legal experts share their knowledge on de-risking your domain name investing strategy from a legal point of view so that you can be a savvy investor and avoid dispute resolution tangles”.
After the legal discussion there was a time for Krishna Yogi the CEO of Mapta.gs, the hot new startup in the smart address space! He told us the importance of having a smart address instead of using long addresses which cannot be kept in mind.
There was a small networking break for tea, coffee and cookies.
Right after this short break, it was the time for Shiva Kandula & Paul Singh. They talked about the Investment Opportunities in the .IN Extension.
Now the most awaited moment where the awards were given to the recognized personalities of the domain name investing community.
With this the announcement of Domain Name Owners Association of India board members for the year 2016 was made.
The last session was “WTS! Will This Sell”?
This last session was taken by Doron Vermaat, Deepak Ramani, Manmeet Pal Singh & Pankaj Vijayvargiya. There they got opinions from some of the most recognized names in the industry who share what worked for them and how you too could get better at making end-user sales.
