The Deputy Director of the business division of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Elizabeth Tishchenko reported that the Commission athletes FIVB at its meeting is not considered questions doping, the Chairman of the Commission Giba has no claims to the Russian team. Earlier it was reported that Giba is going to examine the documents from the report of the independent investigator WADA Richard McLaren personally and find the references of the names of Russian volleyball players. In this case, he would like to raise the question about the revision of the results of the tournament the 2012 Olympic Games, which in the final Russia defeated Brazil.
– “In addition to my basic position, I am responsible for organizing the work of the athletes commission by the FIVB, I am always in touch with all the members of the commission.” – quotes Tishchenko from r-sport. – “Questions of doping were not discussed at the past session of this commission. We even did not introduce this into the agenda, there are no foundations for raising these questions. All samples at the Olympic Games in London, the Russian team were clean. Certainly, questions of anti-doping will be discussed always. But Volleyball – this is not the type of sport, where there is the problem of doping. We value the clean image of volleyball.

Giba has a personal conversation with me, he said he talked with the Russian Volleyball Federation, with Vladimir Alekno, and also with national team of Russia. He said that all all explained and did not understand why the topic was so magnified. From the conversation with Giba, I realized that he had no desire something to investigate, and to explain. Any claims from Giba to the Russian team does not have, this topic is closed.
