For runners with a competitive side, Strava has just released data that endurance athletes can use to compare themselves to others across the globe. Strava has a new data visualization platform called Insights which shows the fitness habits of similar communities in 12 major active international cities.  Athletes or those interested in fitness data can now get statistics from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Milan, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sao Paulo and Sydney. Strava is giving everything most popular routes, cities with the fastest runners, cities with the most marathoners and facts like most actives times of day in each city. Users will also be able to see instructive heat maps showing where bike and run commuters travel most frequently. Curious about how athletes in major global cities stack up?
