This is a copy of the weekly newsletter from the New Zealand Running Calendar sent by email on February 11th 2013 covering interesting articles and race reports, competition winners, recently updated event pages and events coming up over the next two weeks.
Last week I posted about Mike Allsop, who plans to run seven marathons in seven days on seven continents. It all starts today and finishes in Auckland on Sunday. Read more at Stuff.co.nz in a news article which was posted yesterday.

The winners of the free entries to the Rotorua Off Road Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5K or Kids Fun Runs on March 10th 2013 were David Sinclair and Dennis de Monchy. Both will be entering the half marathon.
The event is on March 10th and late entry fees kick in on February 25th so make sure you get your entry in soon. Event website with entry details etc.
The last week has seen links to online entries for the Kapiti Classic Beach Races, Warrior Dash in Auckland and Wellington, Rotorua Marathon, Mud Sweat and Tears Challenge in Christchurch and Dunedin, various dates for events added for 2013/14 and a new event at Waiheke: the Wild Woman Trail Run on April 28th.
