Starting this week, I’m doing something new. I’m going to start planning my meals and workouts differently since I just discovered Food & Fitness planning with the Happy Planner from Me & My Big Ideas.
Back in August, when all the back to school stuff lined all the shelves, I first spotted The Happy Planner at Micheal’s. It caught my attention as I was on the look out for a good blog planner. Once home, I googled it and searched through Pinterest and loved it all over again. I knew I had to have it!
For those of you who are not familiar with the Happy Planner, it’s a fun, disc-bound planner that looks very much like a scrapbook. You can easily remove, replace, add pages. And it’s really fun (happy?) because you can decorate it and personalize it with stickers, highlighters and pictures and so much more.
My particular Happy Planner is an 18 month planner, so I don’t have to wait for January 2017 to get started on it! Yay! Also, they have a fitness expansion pack which I of course had to get too!
Fitness Planner Expansion Pack
The Fitness Planner Expansion pack comes in a 4-month non-dated calendar where you can log your food and exercise. Each month starts with a month overview, followed by weekly calendar and a page to summarize your results at the end of the month.

Food & Fitness Planning
Here is a quick peek of this week’s page I started.
As you can see, I layed out my family’s meal plan in the top section. I think this food diary will help me log what I eat so I can enter it into MyFitnessPal later. I really need to have a good look at my Macro’s (Fat, Protein, Carbs) intake. I do drink a lot of water, but I’ve never considered tracking it before. I can start now!
To make it look better I need to search through Pinterest pages to learn how to jazz it up a bit more and work on my penmanship.
Note to self: Buy fun coloured highlighters that won’t bleed through the pages.
I will be sure to share with you September’s Food & Exercise log at the end of the month and show how successful this new planning/tracking method is for me.
Above is the last page of the month where you summarize your thoughts on what worked well, what didn’t, what you would do differently. You can even add a selfie so you can visually track your progress!
18 Month Blog Planner
The 18 month planner I will use as my blog planner. At the beginning of each moth, there is a month-at-a-glance view followed by weekly pages. The weekly pages are divided in 7 day columns. Each day has 3 sections. This is perfect to plan your posts, social media, and spread out your to-do list. As you can see, I only started with mine but will share it with you when I’ve planned it all out.
