Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Announces Medals
All new medals await runners who complete races in the 2015 Walt Disney Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna, January 7-11. Registration opened April 22, at runDisney.com. Among the slew of new Disney Marathon Weekend medals will be a commemorative 10th anniversary Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge medal. The 39.3-mile challenge involves completing Saturday’s half marathon and Sunday’s full marathon.
Mankato Marathon Seeks Artist
The Mankato Marathon is offering $500 as a commission for the completion of the commemorative poster design for the fifth annual Mankato Marathon on October 19. The Marathon Merchandise Committee is looking specifically for a visual concept that represents the fifth anniversary of the Mankato Marathon. The deadline is July 1, 2014.
Governor Proclaims April 25, “Finisher Shirt Friday”
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed Friday, April 25 “Finisher Shirt Friday” in the state at the request of Twin Cities In Motion (TCM), organizers of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and year-round running events in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
