Last year, Netflix began to slowly reduce the amount of available non-original content to make room for a new spate of Netflix-created movies and TV shows. With pretty much the entire world paying a monthly subscription fee to Netflix in order to have an socially acceptable excuse to be anti-social, it’s assumed that Netflix is in a position where they need to roll out a whole slew of new content to make up for the absences. Fortunately, it does seem as if 2016 is going to be the Year That Netflix Rose. Below, check out a complete (as of now) list of all of the new Netflix original content hitting the small screen in 2016.

January 8th: Season 2 of “Dragons: Race to the Edge”

The interquel series that fills in the gaps between How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2 continues to follow the adventures of Hiccup and his dragon Toothless.





January 15th: “Degrassi: The Next Class”

The follow-up to the uber-popular teen drama series Degrassi (which did give us Drake), will follow a whole new cast of characters and their problems for a new generation.

January 23: “Chelsea Does”

Comedian Chelsea Handler takes her vulgar humor on the road in this documentary series that see Handler embrace her journalistic roots without abandoning her comedic success.

February 19th: “Love”

A comedy series from Judd Apatow, Love stars Leslie Jacobs (of Community fame) and seeks to be a down-to-earth exploration of dating from both the male and female perspectives.

February 26th: “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny”

A sequel to the 2000 martial arts film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny sees a return to the world established 16 years ago.

February 26th: “Fuller House”

A sequel series to the highly-acclaimed sitcom, Fuller House sees the return of grown-up DJ Tanner, moving back home with her kids after the death of her husband. Helping her raise her kids are her sister Stephanie and best-friend/neighbor, Kimmy Gibbler.

March 4th: Season 4 of “House of Cards”

Following three nail-biting and successful season, House of Cards returns to see Frank Underwood attempt to maintain his hold on the presidency while his personal life falls slowly apart.

March 26th: Season 2 of “Marvel’s Daredevil”

Coming hot on the heels of the success of Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones and capitalizing on the acclaim of its first season, Daredevil returns with a new season that see blind lawyer Matt Murdock attempt to come to terms with his new role while also confronting new enemies/allies the Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (played by Elodie Yung).

“Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday”

Finally making his return to the small screen, Pee-Wee Herman’s new film Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday follows Pee-Wee’s adventures after a mysterious stranger convinces him to take his first ever vacation.

April: “Special Correspondents”

A Netflix original film, Special Correspondents follows Eric Bana, who is joined by Ricky Gervais, as a washed-up journalist who fakes front-line war reports to regain his credibility.

Season 2 of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

After the breakout first season of the quirky comedy about a girl trying to make it in NYC after being trapped by a cult leader in a fallout bunker her entire life, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt returns to see the titular star’s continued struggles to fit in.

Season 2 of “Between”

A coming-of-age science fiction drama, the second season of Between will continue to follow the life of Wiley Day (played by Jennette McCurdy) as a teen mother trying to protect her child in a post-apocalyptic landscape where a virus kills everyone over the age of 21.

A biographical drama, The Crown will tell the story of the British Royal family during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

Season 2 of “Bloodline”

After becoming one of Netflix’s standout dramas of 2015, season 2 of Bloodline will continue to follow the Rayburn family and their attempts to deal with the fallout of their horrible actions from season 1.

Season 3 of “Black Mirror”

A comedy series starring Will Arnett, Flaked tells the story of a self-help guru who struggles to stay ahead of his own lies.

Season 2 of “Marco Polo”

Inspired by early years of explorer Marco Polo’s travels, the second season of Marco Polo will continue to explore his time in the court of Kublai Khan of the Mongolian Empire and the founder of the Yuan Dynasty.
