English photographer Rich McCor devises clever cutouts with iconic landmarks around the world creating funny images of silhouettes in front of a landscape. McCor’s use of landscape photography is great enough, but fusing them with things like a karate kid kicking a house or champagne bottle exploding in a water fountain makes it all the more fun.

Check out some of his works below and follow his updates here.

It’s possible that the Hunchback of Notre Dame was, in fact, real. In the 1820’s, when restoration began on the cathedral after the French Revolution, there was a “humpbacked stone carver” according to the memoirs of Henry Sibson. Henry was a sculptor who worked at Notre Dame at the same time that Victor Hugo began writing his famous novel #quasimodo #notredame #paris #parisjetaime #parisian #topparisphoto #visitparis #parismaville #igersparis #loves_paris #igersfrance #hunchbackofnotredame #wanderlust #travel #adventure #passionpassport #instagram #cathedral #intrepidtravel #adventure #instagoodmyphoto #victorhugo #bestintravel #paperart #loves_paris #fact #silhouette #architecture #architecturelovers

Fun fact-there is a man in Paris, who invites complete strangers to his house for a dinner party each week. He's been doing this for 30+ years. If you're heading to Paris, you can register on his website to be invited. Towards the end of WWI, France built a ‘Second Paris’ near the capital city to confuse German pilots. It was located near the town of Maisons-Laffitte, on a stretch of the River Seine. As well as replicas of iconic landmarks, including the Arc de Triomphe, it even had sham streets lined with electric lights so that from the sky it would look like a real city. Novelists James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway were drinking buddies in Paris- often picking fights on their drunken nights out. Famously, Hemingway took a urinal from his favourite bar in Paris and had it installed into his American abode, arguing that he had "pissed away" so much money into the urinal that he owned it #montmartre #basiliquedusacrecoeur #hemingway #karate #silhouette #instaart #paris #parisjetaime #parisian #topparisphoto #visitparis #parismaville @paris_tourisme #igersparis #loves_paris #igersfrance #instagram #forcedperspective #citytrip #wanderlust #travel #adventure #passionpassport #architecture #travelandlife #intrepidtravel #adventureinstagoodmyphoto #guardiancities #guardiantravelsnaps #bestintravel

Copenhagen's Cirkelbroen being abducted by Aliens: Shot for #lpkids (@lonelyplanet's brand for little adventurers). In the distance behind the bridge is Tivoli, an amusement park commissioned by the King in 1843 so that the public could go amuse themselves and "think less about politics". Walt Disney visited Tivoli and felt inspired.
