Luis Gil has been named to his first U.S. Men's National Team camp with the release of the January roster, alongside Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman.

The January camp is traditionally one that focuses on MLS players; this is no exception. Mix Diskerud, at Rosenborg, is the single non-MLS player as his club is engaged in a winter break.

Gil is the youngest player to have been called up, with Shane O'Neill of Colorado Rapids and DeAndre Yedlin of Seattle Sounders both also being born in 1993. Incidentally, Rimando is the oldest player involved.

All 26 players will be hoping to earn a spot in the World Cup, but it may be too soon for some of the youngsters.

The camp starts Jan. 6 and ends Feb. 1 with a match against South Korea in Carson, Calif.; the camp also includes a 12-day stint in Brazil in preparation for the World Cup.
