"Modern Nations is a geopolitical, nation simulation game which offers you a chance to take control of a country and manage it in accordance to your economic, military and political ideals. It's up to you whether you care for your people.. or simply oppress them. Participate in both national and international political tensions, engage in military operations ranging from counter-insurgency to conventional warfare and join the race to have the stronger economy. The role play is set in a somewhat alternative earth which possesses its own timeline from the year 2001 onwards. The system, in compliance with the timeline has its own duration for a year. Every three out of game months is equivalent to one in game year, meaning approximately one week is the same as one in character month.
Before proceeding and creating your application to join, you should take a moment read this Getting Started Guide to get a clear understanding of how the arrangement works and whether or not it is in your desire to participate. You can also view the board to witness first hand how any role-play is carried out and confirm it's something you'll be interested in. Once content with your decision to join Modern Nations you should take a considerable amount of time to consider the nation you wish to become as once decided, you're unable to change. Make sure to thoroughly research the countries you select from, ensuring their military standards suit your preferences and a nation that you believe you'd enjoy role-playing for.
