The age of Pope Innocent VIII has seen its last sunset, let the dawn of Pope Alexander VI ring forth a new age. But has the Chair of Saint Peter's been so easily bought with bribes and deceit? Does this Spanish Borgia Pope sit on a throne of lies and public lechery?
The year is 1492 and Rodrigo Borgia has just been claimed Pope Alexander VI. He now rules Rome under God's divine right and an iron fist, but there are dangers and mysteries and lurk behind the shadows of St. Peters Basilica. Many wish to depose the Spanish Pope under claims of simony and public lechery, and there are others who would seek the new Pope's favor and wish to prosper under his reign.
It is whispered that this Pope wishes to envelop the whole of Europe in his progeny, done so with his sons Juan, Cesare and Gioffre along with his daughter Lucrezia. It has also been said that he wants to create a dynasty to pass his Papal Crown down to his son rather than through the Cardinal votes. If his all rumors are true he will become the most powerful ruler of the known world with the ability to crown an remove Kings and Queens of the world.
The Christian Faith now rests on a delicate balance with all playing their part, and you now have a chance to weave your tale into this tapestry of Fate and Divine Rule. Role(s) requested: I am in need of two very important characters, Dante (last name players choice) and Prospero Colonna.
~History~
Dante is between the age of 23-29 and is an only child. He has worked for the Serefni's for as long as he can remember, and now works for Aurora doing pretty much anything and everything. He is a good rider, horse trainer with a gentle yet firm hand with the horses, mends fences, fixes tack and leather work, and Lord Serefini even sent him to learn the Blacksmiths trade, so he can to any sort of iron work from horse shoes, to barbed wire to piping as the forge master,
His mother, *name available for you to make up*, was a house maid to the Serefini Estate, and a nanny for Aurora when she was a child, she also is the same woman who rescued Aurora during her birth when her mother passed away. The Serefini's always took excellent care of Dante and his mother before her death, caused by cancer.
~Plot~
In this plot she is all alone and has no friends and no family. Her father, the only person she has had in her whole life, recently just passed away and she did not take it well at all. Sensing her grief and thinking her in a weaker state a low noble man took advantage of this and seduced her, hoping to marry her and gain the title as a high Noble, her land, money and wealthy established horse breeding stable. Aurora refused to marry him and eventually figured out his plot and tried to get rid of him. The Lord began to beat her and lock her away, hoping to break her and make her give in. She never did, so his next plan was to rape her and hopefully make her produce a son so he could gain the titles and land through his heir. Aurora fought back. One night her best friend and head stable hand Dante found Aurora beaten and unconscious on the floor, her dress ripped. Dante became enraged and hit the Lord over the head with a log, killing him. In Italy it is a crime to murder a Noble, no matter the reason, and for a commoner to commit the crime it is almost certain death. Aurora, aware of this, made a vow with Dante never to speak of this again. They hid the body in hopes that no one would ever find it, if found she could lose everything, or Dante could lose everything from the head up... I would love for Dante to have a secret love with Aurora, but they are star-crossed since it is not really possible for a commoner to marry a high Noble.

Prospero Colonna

~History~
Prospero, often called Prosper, is the illegitimate son of a Colonna nobleman. He is also a man of the sword and a notable condottiero. He and his family backed Cardinal Della Rovere and his quest to become Pope of Rome, and now fully support Della Rovere in his quest to rid the Vatican of the Borgia Pope.
Prospero is a kind man to those he loves, but is slow to trust others. He has very strong ties to family, though has a great distaste for his father. He does have a love of women, but is a little too shy to approach them directly and has yet to let a woman close enough to make him love them. He is a very cautious man. He has a love of being outside and takes a morning run everyday, rain or shine. Prospero is the leader of his Colonna family forces. He is closest to his cousin Fabrizo Colonna, he shares all his thoughts and feelings with him. Fabrizo has been trying help his cousin meet women for years. He finally managed to introduce him to the beautiful and strong Elisabetta Gonzaga. Prospero found her enchanting but was still overly shy, so he decided it best to just talk with her and be around her, though it was forced by Fabrizo. After a few weeks be started to become very attracted to her, despite the danger.
~Plot~
My character Elisabetta he is the younger sister of the wealthy and powerful Francesco Gonzaga. The Gonzaga's are a very old Italian family with a lot of influence in Rome and a large army. Despite her refusal Francesco has begun early negotiations for an arranged marriage with Alfonso the Prince of Naples. This alliance would strengthen their trade to Naples as well as their forces, and his sister would be Queen.
The Gonzaga's and Colonna's have been a feuding family for years, as most old Italian families have done forever, but after the passing of their father Francesco managed to create a shaky peace between the two families. Despite all of this my character Elisabetta has started a secret romance with the youngest Colonna son Prospero, who is illegitimate. If anyone were to find out about their secret trysts this could cause the already fragile peace to come crashing down and both families would fall back into war! Also, if Prince Alfonso were to discover the scandal, he could become enraged that his future wife and Queen has had sexual relations with an illegitimate man he could seek to star a war with both families just to defend his wounded vanity and pride. The problem is he has a large enough army to greatly harm both families.
