Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Nara & Hiroshima
Itinerary Day 1-5
Day 1 Canada - Tokyo
Depart from Canada and fly to Tokyo, crossing the International Date Line en route.
Day 2 Arrive Tokyo
Arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel.
Accommodation: Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Ginza Hotel or similar
Day 3 Tokyo
Depart from your hotel and begin your morning tour of Tokyo. Your tour will visit Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace Plaza and Sensoji Temple and the Nakamise Shopping Arcade in Asakusa. After a drive through Ueno your tour will end at either Tokyo or Akihabara stations. You will then enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure before you make your way back to your hotel.
Day 4 Tokyo - Kamakura - Tokyo (L)
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and travel to the town of Kamakura, located on the coastline. Upon arrival you will visit the Great Buddha Statue and Kotoku-in Temple. You will then enjoy a walking tour of the town as you make your way to Hasedera Temple. You will then return to your coach and travel to nearby Yokohama, passing the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine along the way. Arrive in Yokohama, where you will enjoy lunch in the city’s famous Chinatown. In the afternoon you will spend some time visiting the beautiful Sankeien Garden before you head back to Tokyo, crossing the Yokohama Bay Bridge along the way. Your tour will disband at either Ginza or Shinjuku, where you can enjoy some free time before you make your own way back to your hotel.
Day 5 Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone (L)
Check out of your hotel and travel by coach from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji and Hakone. In the morning, travel to visit the Fuji Visitor Center, and then drive up to Mt. Fuji’s 5th station to enjoy a panoramic view of the region. You will then drive to nearby Hakone. After a Japanese-style lunch in Hakone you will travel to ride the Hakone Ropeway. You will also visit Owakudani and take a cruise on Lake Ashi. Return to Hakone at the end of your tour and check in to your hotel.

Itinerary Day 6-10
Day 6 Hakone - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto (L)
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the train station. You will then travel by Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto. Arrive in Kyoto, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch before departing to the nearby city of Nara. Upon arrival in Nara you will begin your tour, visiting Todaiji Temple and Nara Park. You will then travel to the Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Nagomikan before you return to Kyoto and check in to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Accommodation: New Miyako Hotel or similar
Day 7 Kyoto (L)
In the morning you will depart on your day tour of Kyoto. Your tour starts with a visit to Nijo Castle, followed by a trip to Kinkakuji, home of the Golden Pavilion. You will then travel to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. After a Japanese-style set lunch you will visit the Heian Jingu Shrine and Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu Temples. Return to your hotel at the end of your tour.
Day 8 Kyoto - Hiroshima - Kyoto
Depart from your hotel in the morning and travel to Kyoto Station, where you will depart by Shinkansen to Hiroshima. Arrive at Hiroshima station and transfer to nearby Miyajima Island. Here you will have time to explore the island and you will also visit Itsukushima Shrine. You will then travel back to Hiroshima to visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum as well as the Atomic Bomb Dome. Return to the station at the end of your tour and travel back to Kyoto. Arrive back at Kyoto station and transfer back to your hotel.
Day 9 Kyoto
Today you will have the full day at leisure to explore Kyoto on your own.
Day 10 Kyoto - Osaka - Canada
Depart from your hotel and transfer to the airport in Osaka to board your return flight back to Canada.
