Those attending the Patron’s Lunch will tuck into a delicious curated food hamper courtesy of Marks and Spencer, a luxury supermarket that has donated hampers.

Guests can feast upon Applewood smoked Wiltshire ham, mini pork pies, and ‘Posh Raspberry Royale’ pudding as they tuck into their meal. The pudding will be especially regal, as it will be made using Norfolk raspberries, strawberry jelly, clotted cream, and topped with a chocolate plaque that features an etching of a crown.

“Our inspiration started with Her Majesty herself and a desire to celebrate the best of all things British,” Sandra Ziles said. Ziles is head of product development at Marks and Spencer.

“We’ve worked closely with our farmers and producers to ensure we showcase the very best of British produce and we’re looking forward to seeing guests enjoying the picnic on The Mall.”

The special lunch is packed in a souvenir wicker basket and includes a turquoise plastic plate and matching cutlery, a plastic wine tumbler and a napkin.

The Patron’s Lunch has been organised by the Queen’s grandson, Peter Phillips, as part of the commemoration of Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday.

It will recognise the over 600 charities and organisations patronised by the Queen, and 10,000 people will attend the event, which is being held at The Mall. The event is sold out, but will be broadcast live on BBC One.

Screens will be set up in St James’ Park and Green Park as well.

The Patron’s Lunch will mark the third day of events surrounding Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, 10 June – which is also the Duke of Edinburgh’s 95th Birthday – to celebrate the Queen.

On Saturday, 11 June, the Queen’s Official Birthday, the Trooping the Colour ceremony will take place, with a flypast at 1:00 pm.
