Hi all,

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all. I'm Joe Hupp and I live in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia.

My first ever experience in rotary wing aircraft was at the end of the July school holidays back in 2006 - it was in a hot pink and black Bell 206B-3 JetRanger III at a local field day. Don't ask me why I can remember the colour of this bird but it was absolutely hilarious. I have always been interested in helicopters but, due to a fear of heights, it wasn't till the abovementioned date that I was able to do my first one (helped along by 50mg of sertraline hydrochloride because I was diagnosed as an anxiety sufferer in May 2006). Fast forward four years and I was able to experience my first flight in a piston-powered helicopter (a Robinson R44 Raven II) - that was an experience I won't forget in a hurry!

I was very lucky to be able to get onto four seperate fixed-wing aircraft (after so many years of rotary wing flight) and head up to Coffs Harbour on the mid-north coast of NSW for a four day weekend where I was fortunate enough to be able to spend an amazing day at one of the region's most popular attractions, Dolphin Marine Magic. During this day, I was very lucky to be able to do an amazing (no, make that AMAZING!) in-water interaction with one of their amazing and absolutely gorgeous Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins.
