Earlier today I took a video of me doing 105 push-ups in a row.

Today was an off day in that I was woken up a lot earlier than I would have liked and didn’t sleep enough the day before either. Having kids can definitely affect your sleep. And a lack of sleep doesn’t tend to make me stronger.

Just earlier this week I was able to do 120 push-ups in a row without resting at the top of the push-up. But even though I did not do 120 today I can’t be too upset because years ago I would have been extremely happy if I could do 105 push-ups in a row on my best day. And truthfully I could have cranked out a few more but I didn’t want to be overly out of breath because I was going to talk again after my set of 100 or so.

As you may notice at the end of my set I was quite out of breath. So push-ups serve a dual function. You can get an endurance or lung workout from doing push-ups too.

Also notice that I demonstrate a slight variation of a military push-up. I have found that doing push-ups this way works the chest better and yet still gives you a great triceps and shoulder workout as well.
