Topsham BC in Devon is aiming to keep its green in tip-top condition after a successful application to the Sport England Small Grants programme.The club was awarded a total of £4,576 towards the cost of its new mower, having been signposted to the scheme by Bowls England.John Brand (pictured), a member of Topsham BC Green Committee, said: "Topsham Bowling Club is grateful to Bowls England for making them aware of the Sport England Small Grants Scheme. The new mower will make a significant difference to our playing surface."Bowls England continues to help affiliated clubs and counties to find out information on local, regional and national funding opportunities, and to support any applications that clubs may choose to make.Tony Allcock MBE, Bowls England Chief Executive, explained: "There are still a wide range of funding opportunities available to clubs and counties, and that's why we continue to offer our 'one-stop funding shop' as a service to help members to get the latest information on the many funding avenues that may be available in their local area.
