Part of Philly’s charm is its mix of historical notoriety and modern innovation, and the city exemplifies this mix in its live music. From old school rock-n-roll to current hits and eccentric trends, Philly has it all this weekend!

Thursday 3/12:

Start your weekend early with some Top 40 pop! Ariana Grande and Rixton are coming to Philly tonight on The Honeymoon Tour, and they will be rocking the Wells Fargo Center with danceable tracks and radio hits!

Friday 3/13:

Looking to fill your Friday night with new and eclectic music? You’re in the right city.

She has already won over the listening ears of Dublin, and now you can ring in St. Patrick’s Day early with this Irish singer-songwriter right here in Philly! Orla Gartland will be performing her YouTube-famous songs at World Café Live this Friday, so get ready for some rocking folk-pop music and make your way to West Philly!

Or head over to Underground Arts to check out Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. If their name doesn’t intrigue you enough, listen to their reggae jams. This band is over a decade old, but they still continue to dub their genre progressive reggae with psychedelic roots.

Saturday 3/14:

ZZ Top is in town! The bearded wonders of Texas will be playing at the Electric Factory with The Ben Miller Band on Saturday, and yes, there will most likely be fuzzy guitars on stage. ZZ Top always delivers a fun live show, but what will surprise you at this concert is the musical ingenuity of The Ben Miller Band. This new country trio creates a symphony with their impeccable vocals backed by a washtub bass, license plates, washboards, and more. And it sounds amazing!

If, on the other hand, you’d prefer to spend your Saturday dancing to rhythmic pop grooves and folk vibes, check out Milo Greene and Wardell at Johnny Brenda’s. Milo Greene always delivers with a mix of cinematic songs and percussive jams. And Wardell, consisting of siblings Sasha and Theo Spielberg (yes, children of Steven Spielberg), will undoubtedly entrance you with their indie folk tracks.

Sunday 3/15:

What does Philly do on a Sunday evening? Welcome one of the world’s greatest concert performers of all time! Neil Diamond will be performing at the Wells Fargo Center this Sunday as a part of his world tour, so if you’re a believer, head over to South Philly and turn March 15th into a Hot August Night!

Monday 3/16:

But don’t let the weekend stop there! Magic Man will be lighting up Union Transfer on Monday night with Panama Wedding and Tigertown. Their synthrock jams are the cure for Mondays!

From the classic hits to the up-and-coming, nothing rocks the City of Brotherly Love like live music!
