Today's look around the interwebs.

Sorry about missing the post from yesterday. The SBNation technical difficulties prevented it until it was way too late to get the post up. However, that means we get an extra long list of links today.

Don't forget to check out the review posted earlier this morning about the new book 100 Things Kansas Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die. It may be too late for Christmas, but that shouldn't stop you from getting a copy of this book. Plus, you have a chance to win a free copy of it. Check out the end of the review and participate in the comments to try and win it for yourself.

With Gameday today, we have lots of links previewing the game. Enjoy!

After 29 days away, KU men return home to face Georgetown | KUsports.com

“Without obviously a rodeo or the Ice Capades performing in here, I don’t know why you’d ever spend this much time away from home. But we certainly did, and I’m excited to get back home,” KU coach Bill Self joked. “We need to play at home, and our players need to feel the home crowd and get themselves juiced up. I think it’ll be a great atmosphere and our guys will be excited.”

“I could see it (coming) last year when I played his high school and when I played in the Jordan Brand Classic game, I could see it,” Wiggins said. “He has a lot to his game. He has good hands. He can pass. He has a good shot and he has a good feel for the game.”

During multiple games this season, Wiggins has asked Self to let him guard the other team’s en-fuego scorer, but the player said he never asked his coach to allow him to guard Embiid in practice.

“He’s too big for me. Even if I did, it wouldn’t matter,” Wiggins said. “He’s 7-foot. He’s longer than me. He’s stronger than me. And he has a bunch of post moves. He’s so skilled.”

“It’s fun to have a night like this,” Wiggins said at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. “Knowing how fortunate me and the guys on the basketball team are ... it’s great to give back to the kids, help put a smile on their face, bring joy to all of them.”

Georgetown at No. 18 Kansas, 12 p.m. ET, ESPN: When he was a pro wrestler, the Rock (Dwayne Johnson) would say, “Finally, the Rock has come home to …” whenever he’d enter an arena. The Jayhawks probably feel that way entering their first game in Lawrence, Kan., since Nov. 22 (88-58 win over Towson). The roller coaster that they’ve been on for the last month has changed early projections about a team that might boast the top two NBA prospects in next summer’s draft (Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins). It should be a pleasant homecoming. Josh Smith will struggle against Wiggins, Embiid and Perry Ellis inside. And the Hoyas will face a variety of defensive matchup problems against the Jayhawks in their first true road game of the season. Kansas has been criticized for its recent mishaps. But Saturday should be another positive mark for the program.

Prediction: Kansas 69, Georgetown 65

Column: Question of QB lingers for KU football | KUsports.com

Nobody has seen UCLA transfer TJ Millweard play, which automatically makes him the man to beat in the minds of some not wanting to believe that one or both of the quarterbacks who steered Kansas to a 3-9 record will man the controls again.

Weis: KU offensive coordinator Reagan will decide gameplan, starters | KUsports.com

“The game is different,” Weis said. “The game is different in the Big 12. ... and I think that John is better suited than me. That doesn’t mean that I think John is a better coach than me. I think he’s better suited to handle the job in the Big 12 of coordinating the offense or else I wouldn’t have done it.”

KU recruiting coordinator Rob Ianello was one of the first coaches to discover Boateng and that early interest appears to have paid off for the Jayhawks. Boateng chose Kansas over offers from Indiana, Marshall, Villanova and Wake Forest. He said as recently as November, following his official visit to Kansas during the weekend of KU’s victory over West Virginia, that Baylor, Florida State, Mississippi and Toledo also were showing serious interest.
