First on the plate is new news regarding the Russian airliner which crashed in Egypt. Turns out it may have been ISIS after all. Ben Carson is not only giving trump a run for his money, but is also beating Hillary Clinton in head to head polls! How about the new budget, which promised to keep spending at incredulous levels, while recklessly indenturing the next generation to the servitude associated with crippling national debt. Billions of dollars later, the TSA is still incompetent and its screening process is full of fail. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee wanted answers about TSA security gaps. The DHS Office of Inspector General released a damning report and testified the TSA has not made any real improvements since it failed the last round of covert testing. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) reintroduced S. 2232, Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed bill, which calls for a “full audit of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Reserve banks by the Comptroller General of the United States.”
Senator Paul introduced the legislation using a procedural maneuver allowing the bill to escape the Senate Banking Committee’s stranglehold on Audit the Fed, placed there by an unholy alliance of Fed apologists like Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bob Corker (R-TN). S. 2232 is identical to the legislation Senator Paul introduced in the 112th and 113th Congresses and has 21 cosponsors. “With the American people firmly on our side on Federal Reserve transparency, and momentum shifting our way in recent Congresses, the Federal Reserve will not be able to continue operating in secrecy from the people’s representatives much longer,” said Campaign for Liberty Chairman Dr. Ron Paul. Today, the White House announced that our Nobel Peace Prize winning President is sending “a few” special operations forces to Syria. So this seems like a good day to revisit Campaign for Liberty Chairman Ron Paul’s 2013 column asking if war with Syria was justified even if President Obama sought and received a declaration of war(spoiler alert: it is not.). Remember fusion centers? Those federally-funded “information sharing centers,”one of which labeled Campaign for Liberty members and supporters of Campaign for Liberty Chairman Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential Campaign as potential terrorists? Well, Congress remembers them and is actually trying to enhance their power! This Monday the House passed two bills by voice vote dealing with fusion centers. The first one ‘’The Fusion Center Enhancement Act of 2015″ (HR 3598). Among other items, HR 3598 requires the Department of Homeland Security to make support of fusion centers a priority in any guidance issued by the agency and ensure that information gathered by the fusion centers is shared with all other federal agencies and that the agencies share information with the fusion centers. The second bill, “The Department of Homeland Security Support to Fusion Centers Act of 2015″ (HR 3503) requires the Department of Homeland Security to “assess” the current procures for assigning personnel from the various components of Homeland Security personnel, including TSA, to the fusion censers.
In hour 2 RSB breaks down a story from Chipotle, as they continues to face the fallout of an E. coli outbreak as health officials said the number of people sickened by the bacteria in Oregon and Washington has risen, and one woman filed a lawsuit against the company. But a week after being treated at a hospital for severe intestinal distress, Collins no longer considers the casual Mexican restaurant a safe choice. As the E. coli outbreak believed to be linked to West Coast Chipotle restaurants grows, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced it is using cutting-edge DNA technology to assist with the investigation.
