fuckingfurries:

I’ve been informed that someone has already submitted this and it had been taken down because they weren’t me, I wasn’t aware that others had tried to submit this case.

If you need proof that I am Xider from FA. Feel free to have me message an FA account or ask me for any other methods of proof to prove I am actually Xider if you need it.

WHO: atticro (FA, DA, TUMBLR )

WHERE: http://atticro.co.vu/ http://atticro.deviantart.com/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/atticro/

WHAT: A black and white sketch of my character. It cost $26.06USD about $36.06 AUD

WHEN: I paid for it roughly on the 9/05/2016. He never sent me a message when he finished the drawing, I didn’t know it was finished until someone sent me the message telling me about his rude comments.

EXPLAIN: I brought a commission off of attticro on FA of my character [[possibly link to her ref sheet here instead of below]]. I asked him originally if he was alright to draw my character whos a big chubbier. ( I know some people don’t like doing so ) In which he said he’d happily be able to do so [2]. I sent him a very clear reference of my character. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19426741/).

After a while he sent me a sketch of my character [7], which wasn’t as chubby as I wanted it, so I kindly asked him to make her a bit chubbier, in which he said was completely okay [3]. He later on finished the drawing, he didn’t make her any chubbier at all nor did he change anything from the sketch. [8] I was never notified that he had completed my drawing either and since I wasn’t following him on FA at the time, I didn’t have a clue it was done, I was still waiting for the changes and final product to be sent through.

Later on, I was sent a message from someone, showing me that he had been insulting me and my character behind my back on social media and had been whining about the commission and that I apparently hadn’t explained what I wanted enough when he never asked [1].

I attempted to message him to ask him about what all the insulting comments were about and why he never attempted to speak to me about the commission and why he never asked me about the things he was confused about, I also informed him that what he was doing, wasn’t okay. I sent him these messages before I made the beware journal on FA. [5]

At the time, I was widly upset with how he treated me and with how he treated the commission that I had paid him. I was wrong for making a call out post for him, but at the time It seemed like a good idea, I tried talking to him first but nothing seemed to be getting across to him and he kept thinking that everything he did was completely okay.

He then acted completely ignorant towards the subject and acted like he had done nothing wrong and that me calling him out on it and letting people know what he had done [6, for context]. After I refused to forgive him and told him that what he had done was completely wrong and that he shouldn’t treat people like that, he continued to argue with me and never offered to fix the drawing or replace my money for his rude acts, but rather, continued to rant about me on social media [4]

He also, deleted the image that he drew for me on FA without any warning. I happened to be lucky to have saved it before he did this.
The overlay of the sketch, where he has squished her down to make her look ‘chubbier.’ http://prntscr.com/b7s82o

This is the notes we sent to each other while the commission was still being completed. He never did a final sketch to show me the change he was supposed to do, he went straight to the finished product.

This is after the fact when I called him out for what he had done and he attempted to blame the ’misunderstandings’ on me and try to make it out as what he had done wasn’t awful, I was quite rude in the messages at the time, but I was quite upset and he was playing the victim, making me just that little bit more upset.

I never heard back from him after that last message, I never was offered any change or a refund for him being so rude and messing up my commission.

this has a lot more information than the first post did, thank you very much for being so concise. it really gives us a better picture of what happened.

i’m glad you addressed your callout post, because that definitely wasn’t the right thing to do. always go to places like Artists_Beware and here, rather than trying to handle things yourself on a site that doesn’t allow that. and never write these kinds of things when you’re still mad! you need a clear head for that.

if atticro gives you any more trouble, feel free to come back to us. and don’t hesitate to use that block function!

A WARNING TO EVERYONE INVOLVED:

This beware was reposted due to the fact that it is more precise, less ‘fat-shaming’  than the original (because that was not what was happening) and is an actual beware. I fully admit my mistake in posting the first one but with this actual beware we can post it and have it be a legit beware.

No drama will be posted about this one, so unless you have anything new to say/add to the beware, IT WILL NOT BE DISCUSSED HERE.

do not disrespect your customers, it reflects badly on all of us who depend on commissions for our livelihoods. don’t cheat your buyer out of their money, and don’t get mad at them when you screw something up and are asked to fix it.

if you take your commissions on social media, don’t snark about the people paying you for your art on social media.

most importantly: if you can’t draw fat people, don’t take the commission and draw a skinny person, vertically skew the image to shorten it, and accuse the customer publicly of being a fetishist.

if you do make these mistakes, please consider refunding your customer’s money. even if you don’t think you screwed up, the customer does, and a couple sawbucks is nothing compared to the reputation you build for yourself when you blow up on the people who want to support your work and then keep their money. refuse their business, refund the money, move on.

it’s hard to be an artist for hire. things can get complicated and stressful. make sure you’re cut out for dealing with the business side of things.

prima donnas might feel good for the 10 minutes they’re yelling, but they don’t get a lot of work afterwards. the difference between being a hobbyist and being a professional is whether you’re able to work with people.

also, atticro and his friends immediately swung into action to pin the blame on their victim xider by reporting cider’s complaints about cro’s behavior as ‘harassment’ and ‘call-outs’, getting them in trouble with FA and pre-emptively blocked from telling their side of the story on at least one other warning/drama blog, if i recall correctly.

seriously: do not go anywhere NEAR atticro, much less ask him to do anything for you.
