rachelpxs:
Hey followers, I have a weird request! It is weird both in that it is a bit unusual and that I feel a bit weird making it. It is, in fact, the opposite of the sort of request I would typically be inclined to make. However, the time has come.
I find myself in the position of being asked the same questions repeatedly, often through different methods (email, tumblr asks/fanmail (don’t use fanmail it’s bad), twitter, whatever). I also find that I stumble over misinformation pretty frequently, often what looks like intentional misinformation.
To that end, I’d be much obliged if you would please reblog this or another of my posts and encourage all your Homestuck friends to follow this blog. I’ll also be putting together a little post here with all of the more-or-less-official Homestuck/Hiveswap/What Pumpkin Studios/PXS blogs later in the week. You don’t have to follow mine (or any of them), of course, but like it or not having a broader audience makes it much, much easier for me/us to get the correct information out there, which is better for everyone! I know it’s a bit of a strange request (and one that makes me feel kind of awkward to make), but it honestly will help us all tremendously.
In case it helps, a little about me! I’m Rachel, and for the past year I’ve been the Editor-in-Chief of Paradox Space. I’ve been working at What Pumpkin since 2011, mostly in merchandise development but also in pretty much anything else that comes up. I’ve also been doing a bit of organizational and other small work for Hiveswap, though my involvement has been pretty minimal there as I’ve been focused on PXS for the last year. I work pretty closely with Andrew Hussie so I’m in a position to tell you (like my last post) when something is valid or when it is an impostor. I have two cats, I like to write and draw, and for some weird reason I represent myself online as an owl. Not sure how that happened.
You can email me, as always, at rachel at whatpumpkin dot com, or send me an ask through tumblr if it’s something I can publish publicly. Thank you so much for your help!
