Mobily wins praise for supporting Disabled Children’s Association.
Mobily has signed an agreement with the Disabled Children’s Association to support DCA’s projects through Content Services provided by the company under the name “Mobily Customers Project”.
Led by Ahmed Farroukh, CEO of Mobily, and other members of the senior management, a delegation visited the DCA Headquarter where the signing ceremony took place.
Mobily delegates were greeted by the association’s General Secretary Awadh Al-Ghamdi and escorted for a tour across the DCA’s facilities, during which, highlights about the project and its potential benefits were presented.
The agreement enables Mobily customers to support Disabled Children’s Association’s projects across the Kingdom through donations using the Content Services provided by Mobily.
The initiative is called “Khair Makkah” philanthropy investment which is run by the Association in the city of Makkah and all revenues directly go to the DCA that are used for the benefit of the handicapped children as well as supporting the operating budget of the Association’s centers located throughout the Kingdom.
Mobily’s customer can donate to the association by sending 1 to 5050 for SR12 on a monthly basis and sending blank SMS to 5050 for donating a once for SAR 10.
Ahmed Farroukh, CEO of Mobily, communicated on the sidelines of the signing ceremony the desire of the company to support development projects in the community using innovative ways; this will encourage various segments of society to contribute to such important projects that benefit a large segment within the community.
He said: “Mobily will continue to lead initiatives aiming to serve a variety of different segments within the community as part of its social responsibility which is considered one of the key pillars to positively interact with the society.”
Awadh Al-Ghamdi, general secretary of the Disabled Children’s Association, thanked Mobily on behalf of Prince Sultan bin Salman and said: “Mobily has a significant record of different initiatives for years that support the association, this reflects the keenness of the operators to play their role in the area of social responsibility and community service.”
He said: “As well as all DCA staff are pleased to convey to the CEO and all seniors in the company our sincere gratitude for this initiative and their keenness on activating the partnership between the Association and Mobily.”
