Our family was introduced to boating back in the late 50's.
Dad bought a 16' Glasspar Avalon with a 75 Evinrude in 1960...it was the most OB power available.
We went to Shaver Lake CA quite often for vacations...the whole neighborhood went...:cool
We bought a membership to Ski-Land, Perris CA
This is Paradise Point just below Ahi-Quin...Thanksgiving 1962...:thumbsup Wet-suits and bathing caps for the girls...:D
That Avalon sure rode nice in the water...:thumbsup
SHAVER is still one of my all-time favorite spots...5500' camping the the forest and skiing on glass at 7 in the morning...:champagne:
I was a mere teenager at the time...I'd go straight to ER if I tried that today...:D
