Winter athletics registration starts now!
In order to participate on the first day of practice – Nov. 16 (high school), Nov. 30 (grades 7-8) and Jan. 4 (grades 5-6)* – you must complete your online registration and pay the athletic fee ($350 high school, $300 grade school) by that date.
*EXCEPTION FOR 5/6TH GRADES: REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BYFRIDAY, DEC. 11, BEFORE HOLIDAY BREAK.
Enjoy the convenience of online registration
We are no longer accepting paper registration forms. All families must create an online account via Family ID, our new registration platform.
If your child did not participate in a fall sport, you will find that we’re now using a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs. When you register, the system keeps track of your information in your profile. You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and programs.
Links to Family ID and the sports physical form can be found on the athletics registration information page on the district website (the sports physical form can also be found on the Family ID registration portal). Because a doctor’s signature is required, you will need to print, scan and upload the forms to your child’s Family ID profile during online registration. The sports physical form is good for two years – no alternate year clearance forms are required.
If you registered your child for fall sports, you can go directly to Family ID to register.

We are offering a $25 discount for all who register by Nov. 6 (grades 9-12) and Nov. 20 (grades 5-8).
Online payment
The online payment portal is a separate website, to which you will be taken once you complete your online registration. Registration can be submitted without making a payment online, allowing you to still bring a check or cash to the high school office by Nov. 16 (grades 9-12), Nov. 30 (grades 7-8) or Dec. 11 (grades 5-6). However, your registration will not be considered complete until payment is received.
In order to make an online payment, you will need your ParentVUE username. If you have never activated your ParentVUE account, you’ll need to contact the front office at either school and ask for an activation code. Please note, after activating your ParentVUE account, it will take 24 hours for the information to translate to the online payment portal and allow you to login.
Concussion testing
ImPACT Baseline Concussion Testing will take place:
Nov. 12, 4-5 p.m., Riverdale High School (grades 9-12)
Nov. 18, 2:30-4 p.m., Riverdale Grade School (grades 6-8)
Please allow 30-40 minutes to complete the test.
This testing is optional, but strongly advised. It is only recommended for 6th grade and up. Testing is good for one year.
