The first of Ripon’s five evening meetings this summer takes place this Friday (May 8), when racing at Yorkshire’s ‘Garden Racecourse’ begins at 6.00 p.m.
One of the feature races is ‘The SiS Top Class Data Delivery Handicap Stakes’, a contest for four year olds over one mile and two furlongs.
Ripon’s full card on Friday evening is sponsored by Satellite Information Services Ltd, a leading provider of picture and data sources to the racing and betting industry. The company produces live coverage and studio programming for the At The Races channel on Sky Television, which includes the racing action at Ripon.
Musical entertainment from the bandstand is provided by the Caribbean Steel Band and race-goers will be able to follow all of the action on the course’s permanent giant screen along with the action from Ascot’s evening meeting.
Ripon host the first of their four family days in their 2015 racing calendar with, their ‘Traditional Family Fun Day’ on Sunday 17th May. As for all Ripon race days, accompanied under 18’s get in for FREE and the course will have a variety of traditional family entertainment on the day including a Coconut shy, Bouncy Castles, a variety of Fairground Rides along with special guest Professor Dan Slater who will be providing both Magic and Punch and Judy shows at intervals in-between racing.
