A quick-hitting, intensifying storm will blow by Southern New England with snow and strong winds Saturday evening. The storm should come close enough to bring near-blizzard conditions to the Eastern Massachusetts coast. It will be snowy and windy in RI, and interior SE MA, but the wind may not be strong enough or the snow heavy enough to meet blizzard criteria. The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for Eastern MA and a Winter Storm Warning in the rest of Southeastern New England.
