Today we would like to publish some information spread by Riga Municipal Police for Riga visitors. Please keep it in mind to have safe and pleasant time during your trip.
Police is keeping city under video observation.
No smoking is allowed at public transport stations and points, public beaches, parks, city squares and places provided for kids. At entertainment places (bars, restaurants, night clubs, discos, cinemas etc.) smoking is either resticted or is allowed only in special sectors and places.
It is prohibited to use beverages or drugs at public places. Holding alcohol unit opened is also forbidden at public places.
For spitting, littering, urinating or defecating at unsuitable places Administrative responsibility is provided.
Persons under 18 year are not allowed to attend any Entertainment facility or public place without parents or their sustitute from 10 p.m. till 7 a.m.
For involving person under age of 18 in alcohol using or such person reduction to drunkenness an Administrative responsibility is provided.
Swimming is recommended at places that are situated near Rescue stations.
Park your car at special parking lot or places that are specially provided for parking.
For a defiant act or disobedience of Police officer's order or legal instructions an Administrative arrest can be applied.
