Robert Half Technology is currently seeking an Automation Test Engineer for one of our clients in the San Diego, California area. The primary responsibility of the Automation Test Engineer will be working with software, hardware and systems engineers to build advanced test suites, automate testing, and create innovative automated test systems to explore and validate the functional correctness and performance capabilities of the system, as well as their interaction with other systems and infrastructure. The ideal Automation Test Engineer will also be responsible for designing and implementing test solutions for wireless IoT products. Additional responsibilities for the Automation Test Engineer include: Implementation of communications between the PC and DUT Set AT commands to DUT. Receive trigger signals from the DUT Receive state information from the DUT. Configure BBIC/RFIC/PMIC/RFFE device registers for each test. Develop interface based on available ports in the DUT and the PC. Identify trigger signals in the protocol generator and DUT to implement multi rail measurements. Implement communications of trigger signals to protocol generator, DUT and Capture devices. Convert system level test specification to detailed configuration for the signal generator, control device, DUT, and capture devices. Design test suites to implement device, transactional and call box tests specified by systems team. Develop, troubleshoot automation tests Document developed tests methods. Create and present training materials.
