Implementation of responsive design templates using Bootstrap, CSS (SASS), JS (jQuery) and HTML 4/5 This team is in need of 1 Sr. Rails developer to help us get across the finish line on a project that is behind schedule. We are looking for a hired gun to step in and contribute immediately. Should be a senior level problem solver, experience with REST APIs, Active Resource, familiarity with Jquery / Javascript will be a big plus too. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Develop rich and complex web applications utilizing Ruby on Rails in a service-oriented, RESTFUL architecture. Work with members of other technical teams, as well as members of the front end and user experience team to deliver flexible and scalable responsive designs to meet business and technical requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Implementation of front end architecture, consumption of RESTFUL web services from various endpoints into a responsive, modular design. Write models, tests, controllers, and basic views for various web applications and ecommerce sites Collaborate with members of other technical teams and identify risks, tradeoffs, and solve complex, interdependent problems. Implementation of responsive design templates using Bootstrap, CSS (SASS), JS (jQuery) and HTML 4/5 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education: B.S. in Computer Science or related field. Equivalent work history will be considered. Experience: 4+ years working in a front-end development role using Ruby on Rails, preferably on medium to large teams 4+ years experience with HTML / CSS / Javascript (jQuery preferred). 3+ years experience with testing frameworks, such as RSpec, Capybara. 2+ year experience working with RESTUL Web services / service-oriented architecture 1+ year experience with responsive design, CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap Knowledge and Skills: Expert knowledge of Ruby; Ruby on Rails (4.2).
