The Ecommerce Director is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of business including planning, content strategy and development, online marketing campaigns, website design, customer experience and service, web analytics and web technologies. Optimizing site features and leading marketing initiatives to drive revenue and engagement. The Ecommerce Director is responsible for running and growing the ecommerce business while creating the best possible customer experience. The Ecommerce Director oversees overall website strategy, the promotional calendar, marketing/advertising programs, inventory forecasting and management, site merchandising and optimization, customer care, and fulfillment vendor management. This role is responsible for team management, budgeting, e-commerce industry knowledge, competitor awareness, analytics. The Ecommerce Director reports to the Director of Marketing and Creative. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in a leadership position in e-commerce for an independent fashion, beauty or wellness driven brand and a strong understanding of the critical factors for success in building a business in the e-commerce world. Responsibilities include:

* Analyzing, reviewing, and building strategic and tactical changes to drive business profitability

* Concepting, planning, and executing social media and digital campaign initiatives

* Defining business objectives and managing implementation of all E-Commerce initiatives This is a great opportunity to help guide a growing and dynamic brand. Essential duties and requirements:

* Direct the ecommerce channel's sales, productivity, and profitability through analysis, ideation, and management.

* Lead all of the efforts of the e-commerce team, including online marketing, site merchandising, email marketing, graphic design, customer service, and other ecommerce operations.

* Lead the coordination of all e-commerce development activities, including the integration and implementation of appropriate software in cooperation with a third party solution provider.

* Develop the ecommerce marketing calendar to align product launch calendar, and ecommerce objectives.

* Oversee all ecommerce ROI marketing programs including the areas of SEO, paid search, retargeting, display ads, email marketing, affiliate marketing, etc. Track, analyze, and report on sales KPIs

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, community, engineering, etc.) to ensure sales campaigns achieve targets

* Devise and lead email communications program ensuring they drive sales and brand engagement, and develop lifecycle marketing campaigns to drive loyalty and retention among existing customers.

* Manage and work with the social team to develop social media calendar and content for all relevant channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. while representing voice of brand in all discussions on social media sites

* Leverage merchandising and content expertise to help develop a best-in-class web experience that maximizes conversion opportunities and encourages more site visits.

* Develop a strong test-and-learn culture for all marketing and email activities to improve customer engagement, acquisition, and site conversion.

* Provide analytics on effectiveness of all digital marketing and ecommerce activities. Execute trend analysis, monitoring and competitive benchmarking.
