This position will focus on developing and designing the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Responsibilities also include report and dashboard development, providing technical support for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and will contributing to the design and execution of Dimensional Data Models and ETL (Extract Transform Load) in support of the Business Intelligence program. This is a highly technical and interactive role requiring a combination of technical skill, communication, and innovation in order to successfully deliver Business Intelligence solutions to the University. This role will require highly developed problem solving skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements. The individual in the position needs to be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, complexity, and technical problems. Education Bachelors degree required. Preferred majors include Business Administration, Business Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or similar. Masters degree preferred in Business, Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or similar. Experience 1-2 years experience with designing and delivering data warehouse solutions 3 - 5 years of relevant experience with BI tools, report development and dashboard design and development, preferably in a higher education setting. Understanding and working experience with the star schema data model design methodology. Ability to analyze requirements and transform them from a business question/requirement form to actionable solutions. Ability to develop working specifications from vague and often changing requirements. Experience working with enterprise reporting tools. High level of SQL experience in an Oracle Server environment preferred. Knowledge of IT systems in general and experience troubleshooting basic client and network issues. Ability to interpret a complex variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate and explain business processes and concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Self-starter, ability to work independently, and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
