Robert Half Technology is seeking a Senior SQL Database Developer for our client. The client is looking for a Senior SQL Database Developer to work with existing team to build and assist in the database development of this growing company. The Senior SQL Database Developer will be responsible for: Support various SQL Server applications and interact with internal SQL Server application team members Administration of various SQL Server versions 2000/2005/2008/(R2)/2012 Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2 Set up and monitoring of high availability environments - Replication, Log shipping, Mirroring (Witness server- SQL Server 2012) Design, develop and testing of backup and recovery of the database and applications Perform application and database level tuning Proficient in writing SQL, store procedures, packages and functions Troubleshooting and working with the vendor to apply appropriate fix/patches Provide input to development team during database design and implementation Evaluate third party tools for database monitoring and provide technical recommendation Perform daily/weekly installs and/or promote code to various environments as appropriate Perform database (dev/test/qa) refresh from live/backup production data Follow change control process (code migration, database change management) and adhere to Sarbanes Oxley standards Create and maintain existing documentation as appropriate Provide on call support 24X7 on rotational basis Support and work with off-shore team on daily basis Willing to learn and support other technologies (Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Knowledge, Informatica, Cognos etc.), application platforms (Tomcat, IIS, WebLogic, JBOSS etc.) to provide end to end support of business systems If you are interested, please give Steve Friedman a call at (949) 623-2673 or email me directly at Steve.Friedman@rht.com.
