**Robert Half Technology** is very selectively searching for an experienced **Senior Oracle Applications DBA **to add as a key member of our client’s team in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities include working as a lead DBA in the install, support, upgrade of a multi-instance Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environment. Candidate should be an expert in the administration of Oracle Applications Release 12, along with Release 11g/12c Database and Application Servers. Candidate would also support, upgrade and maintain Oracle tech stack (Database 11g, 10g AS/J2EE) running other ancillary applications.

**Here's what you'll do:**
* Installation and configuration of Oracle Applications R12 on Linux platforms (OEL and/or RH)
* Performance tuning -- DB (11g/12c) and R12 Apps.
* Setup and configuration of the Oracle Applications Server 10g Rel 3/ Weblogic11g.
* Cloning / Refresh of R12 instances.
* Parallel concurrent processing setup and configuration
* Patching Oracle Apps and Database (one-off patches, patchsets, CPUs, PSUs)
* Extensive working knowledge of AD utilities such as adadmin, adpatch, adctrl, adlicmgr, adrelink and admerge.
* R12 System Administration tasks such as creating Applications Users, registering Forms, Menus, Functions, Responsibilities and Concurrent Programs, Creating custom applications and Installing Printers.
* Maintenance of Oracle Workflow embedded with Applications R12 and ability to manage and troubleshoot business flows, setup and configuration of workflow mailer.
* Implementing Autoconfig and maintaining Apps with autoconfig.
* Using Oracle Applications Manager tool to perform system administrator tasks.
* Maintenance of all major tech-stack components (Apex on 11g/12c DB, 10g iAS, 11g Weblogc/opmn) configuration files and profile options of Applications R12.
* Setting up multi-node with shared APPL_TOP architecture using Autoconfig.
* General troubleshooting of Applications R12 issues with Forms / Apache / Discoverer / Concurrent Programs and Concurrent Managers.
* Working effectively with business users, Oracle Apps functional and technical teams to resolve issues.
* Handle all Oracle Database related daily maintenance tasks.
* Setup and manage data guard based disaster recovery architecture. Ability to react to network outages and address synchronization issues between primary and standby databases
* Setup and manage rsync based disaster recovery procedures for application servers
* Create thorough disaster recovery test plans and execute against them periodically
* Set up of Database and Applications monitoring using OEM, shell scripts and other monitoring tools
* Other duties may be assigned.
**Job Requirements**
**Here's what you'll bring to the table:**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed here-in are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
The candidate should have a minimum of 6 years experience in installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle Databases and Oracle Applications. Should have experience in upgrading Applications and Databases from one major version to another. A Bachelor's degree is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
* Good knowledge in UNIX and shell scripting.
* Complete knowledge of Backup and Recovery using RMAN.
* Knowledge of Nagios and plugin creation for Nagios is a plus
* Knowledge of integrating Oracle Application sign-on to Microsoft AD is a plus
* Knowledge of installing and configuring OBIEE environment is a plus
* Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint Administration would be a plus
