Sr. Splunk Systems Administrator Overall: Engineering and administration of Splunk infrastructure supporting Security focused correlation, alerting workflows and Operational dashboards across a large enterprise environment. 3-5 Years Splunk Engineering experience; 5-7 years minimum overall IT experience Splunk Experience should include: administrating Splunk with a wide range of data sets & with Splunk Indexers; Search head and Forwarder; command line. Ability to program in Python, Perl, Shell, Ruby and C++. Knowledgeable in XML and HTML Design, support and maintain Splunk infrastructure in a highly available configuration across multiple data centers Design and maintain production-quality dashboards Develop and maintain automated alerts based on correlated events Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization Troubleshoot Splunk server and forwarder problems and issues Installation, configuration and set up of Splunk and relevant components Standardize Splunk deployment, configuration and maintenance Building Splunk Apps, dashboards with search forms and views Key L3 Splunk resource in Security Incident Response role Configure and integrate new data sources as required Strong Trouble shooting skills Solid written and verbal communication skills Candidate should additionally be able to multi-task, to plan projects, and to focus on delivery IT Healthcare experience a plus Additional Details o 6-12 month Contract to Full-time position in Walnut Creek, CA, Denver/Englewood, CO or Pasadena, CA area o On-Site/Remote: Onsite, 60% o Work Location: Walnut Creek, CA, Denver, CO or Pasadena, CA o Start: ASAP
