Systems Administrator Job Description This position will oversee the configuration and monitoring of key system infrastructure. Average duties will consist of configuring switch, server, SAN, workstation, and test equipment hardware and/or software. The position will report directly to the IT Manager for all tasking where mission objectives and goals will be defined. Job Duties: Oversee configuration and monitoring of system infrastructure Configure switches, server, SAN, workstations, and hardware/software Install and configure Windows or Linux OS, drivers, software Resolve computer problems involving hardware, OS, network, and applications Manage backups Job Requirements: DOD Security Clearance of Secret 4+years of experience Installation and configuration of servers and networks VMware vSphere Windows Server 2008 R2 Server 2012 R2 Cisco Routers/Switches SAN Technologies Exchange Server 2013 Security+ preferably Duties: IAO // ISSO duties of IS auditing and configuration. Managing backups. Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows or Linux operating systems, drivers, software, etc. Monitoring, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving computer problems involving hardware, OS, peripherals, network, and applications. Conducting research related to best practices and security implementations. Helping out in the laboratory when there are no IT tasks.
