Our client, a well established Public Accounting Firm has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the partners of the firm, and will be responsible for all day to day accounting functions. This position provides a supportive work environment, excellent training program, and the opportunity to grow with a very tenured team! Candidates for the Staff Accountant role should have 5+ years of progressive experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a small to midsize public accounting firm. Duties for the Staff Accountant: General journal entries Financial statement preparation for corp clients Preparation of business tax returns (primarily 1120S) Preparation of Quarterly payroll returns Preparation of Sales tax returns Client meetings (once comfortable) Candidates for the Staff Accountant role should have 3+ years of progressive experience, preferably with a minimum of 2 years in a small or mid-sized Public Accounting Firm.
