Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently a Senior Director of Finance & Accounting for a high growth, private equity funded, entrepreneurial business in Santa Monica. Due to recent rapid expansion across all areas of the business and additional capital investment my client in Santa Monica are extremely motivated to recruit a Senior Director of Finance & Accounting. You will report directly to the CFO and oversee the Accounting department with a variety of responsibilities and departments. You will be responsible all accounts, ledgers, reporting systems and managing all aspects of accounting function from revenue reconciliation through general ledger and AP/AR and fixed assets. The Accounting department does have leadership in the form of a Senior Accounting Manager, and a small team beneath so this role will form more of overseeing and guiding. You will also build out the budgeting and forecasting department, adding progressive value with financial planning and analysis. This role will support the operational focus of the company and some direction within the people management/HR duties. My client is a highly profitable company and so need a candidate who is able to bring some solid fundamentals but have the ability to learn and develop additional skills to broaden your operational scope as an Senior Director of Finance & Accounting. This role will be developed into the CFO position. You will ideally have a experience working for a startup, high growth company with a minimum of 7 years accounting experience, ideally at least 3 years within a managerial capacity. A Bachelors degree are CPA required and ideally a core foundation of Big 4 Public auditing experience is desired. The Senior Director of Finance & Accounting will need to show a high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and any experience of NetSuite would be advantageous. A knowledge of US GAAP, SEC experience is a plus. You will be compensated with a market rate base salary, plus stock options and excellent benefits!
