Responsibilities:
* Drive data sourcing for Finance and Regulatory Initiatives
* Own definition of data requirements, including documentation
* Line of Business engagement across Product, Controllers and Operations teams for all financial and Regulatory data sourcing initiatives
* Work with business unit leads to define data requirements, including documentation
* Supervisory role in writing Business Requirements Document (BRD) for product area of expertise (i.e. Deposits, Loans, etc.)
* Drive drafting data requirements document (DRD) by determining what data is required to fulfill the business requirements and objectives of the finance or regulatory project.
* Collaborate with VPs focused on other specialized product/sub-products, technology teams, Project Management teams and enterprise data organization
* Assist with review and prioritization of data sourcing initiatives
* Review and guide analysts/AVP performance of complex data analysis on compliance and transactional system databases
* Guide analysts/AVPs data analysis tasks, interpret results and perform trend analysis using statistical techniques.
* Drive deployment of a BI/data analytics platform within the compliance environment
* Assist with development and drive best practices for financial data reconciliation requirements across business units and functional groups Drive progress and achieve project goals in area of expertise
* Work with vendors and third parties to drive results and achieve project goals Qualifications: 5-10 years of overall experience. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, small groups and manage moving targets. Experience or expertise with database queries performing complex join conditions, performance tuning of queries, tables and indexes. Strong knowledge of databases and experience in creating tables, indexes and other database tuning activities preferably on Microsoft SQL Server. Experience or expertise with data analysis and BI reporting. Knowledge on mathematical modeling, statistical analysis is a plus. Strong knowledge on Banking and Finance domain and products. Ability to speak and write complex information and results clearly and concisely. Self-starter, team player with excellent organizational and time management skills who can work with minimal direct supervision. Proficient in Microsoft suite of products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Interest in data analytics and solutions a must.
