*Requirements:* JOB DESCRIPTION: Client is looking for a mid level Network Engineer to oversee the operation of local, wide area and internet data links. The successful candidate should be able to research, design, recommend, test, and implement network solutions throughout the enterprise. The Network Engineer will also manage and maintain network infrastructure hardware, software, and enterprise monitoring tools. Responsibilities: Design, implement, document, and support the LAN/WAN networks at an advanced level. Perform hands-on implementation, and troubleshooting, of network infrastructure including core switches, routers, VPN hardware, load-balancers and related hardware and software. Assist others with diagnosing and resolving technical problems involving the network infrastructure, application performance or connectivity. Monitor, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade routers, switches, VPN endpoints, load-balancers, WLAN devices, Cisco IPSs, Cisco ASAs, and Cisco Secure ACS appliances. Analyze, troubleshoot, and tune performance of both LAN and WAN CoS/QoS. Configure and deploy Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and Security Appliances for access to vital business applications. Troubleshoot network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore service. Provide 24/7 on call support. Must have strong hands-on experience and knowledge in following areas: Ability to gather, analyze and correlate symptoms in order to quickly and effectively troubleshoot degraded performance or total outages Network design Network capacity planning Network monitoring Network performance tuning Network analysis and troubleshooting using a packet analyzer Data security Compliance Experience with Wireshark or other network packet analyzer Cisco Catalyst and Nexus LAN and SAN switches Cisco routers Cisco ASA firewalls Cisco IPSs Citrix Netscaler VPN BGP QoS VoIP MPLS TACACS / Radius WiFi Communications Job Qualifications 5 to 8 years experience as a Network Engineer Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required Knowledge of Cisco products, administration, and networking protocols Cisco Certifications not required but preferred Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment Strong organizational skills Ability to multitask Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner Technical documentation skills Nagu Kondajji 408-271-9063 nagu.kondajji@rht.com Robert Half Technology
