The NSE index so far has hit a high at 8,356 on the back of smart gains in realty, metal and energy shares

After recovering earlier losses, the market continues to trade marginally higher led by gains in realty, metal and energy shares.



The Nifty so far has touched a high at 8,356 and is now up 15 points at 8,347. The BSE Sensex is now up 70 points at 27,560.

The broader market continues to out-perform the benchmark index. The CNX Midcap and the CNX Smallcap indices have advanced 0.6-0.7 percent at 13,032 and 5,635, respectively. The CNX Nifty Junior index has also added 0.6 percent at 19,650.

Barring CNX PSU Bank index, all the sectoral indices are trading on a positive note.

The CNX Realty index has jumped 1.5 percent. The CNX Metal index has spurted over 1 percent. The CNX Energy index has added almost 1 percent.

The CNX Auto index has gained 0.5 percent.

The CNX FMCG and the CNX Pharma indices are up 0.3 percent each. Among Realty shares, Godrej Properties has jumped 2.7 percent at Rs. 251. Sobha has surged 2.6 percent at Rs. 423. Oberoi Realty and HDIL have spurted 2 percent to Rs. 296 and Rs. 124, respectively. Indiabulls Real Estate has added 1.2 percent at Rs. 60.80. DLF, Unitech and Prestige Estate are the other prominent gainers.
