What an incredible ending to a tumultuous first week of 2016. I don’t think Homer could have written a better tragedy. To close out the week, we learn of a police raid at an apartment in Brussels, Belgium to find an Islamic terrorist bomb making factory. ISIS declares a definitive warning to the global Jewish community stating “they are next” — and laid claim to a terror attack in Cairo, Egypt.
But it’s what happened here in America that just has me reeling. First of all, we learned once again that America doesn’t have a “gun control” issue but a domestic Islamic jihadist problem. Two individuals were arrested for providing support to ISIS and Islamic terrorism — one in Sacramento, California and the other in Houston, Texas. As a matter of fact, the individual arrested in Sacramento had already traveled to Syria to fight with ISIS, and was seeking to return. It appears the Obama administration hasn’t learned anything since 2009 when Carlos Bledsoe of Memphis shot two Soldiers in Little Rock Arkansas; one lost his life.
And then, the same night President Obama was conducting a town hall meeting on CNN about gun control, it happened again.
As reported by Fox News, “The man caught in surveillance footage ambushing a Philadelphia officer in a squad car, shooting him multiple times, claimed he acted “in the name of Islam,” police said at a news conference Friday.
The suspect’s gun, a 9mm Glock 17, had been stolen from police in 2013 [it was reported], Commissioner Richard Ross said.
The suspect, 30-year-old Edward Archer, told homicide investigators he “pledges his allegiance to Islamic State, he follows Allah, and that is the reason he was called upon to do this.
The suspect told police his attack was inspired by the police upholding laws that are contrary to the teachings of the Koran — could he have been referring to Islamic jurisprudence aka Sharia law?
What was utterly amazing — actually stupefying — was the statement from Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney at the press conference:
“In no way shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen.” Mayor Kenney said of the shooting, “It is abhorrent. It is terrible and it does not represent the religion in any way, shape or form or any of its teachings.” He continued, “This is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers. It has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith.”
This mayor should be removed from office for speaking such an absurdity.
Therein lies the problem with liberal progressive socialists being in positions of power at this time. We have an Islamic jihadist who confesses exactly why he charged a police cruiser and fired some 13 shots at an officer, striking him three times. And here comes this mayor telling us all what this jihadist’s motive was?
This is no different from Barack Obama who, after the Islamic terror attack in San Bernardino is advocating for stricter gun control and background checks. Obama and Kenney represent a dangerous delusional state that will cause more Americans to be attacked. Obama seeks to limit Americans’ ability to defend themselves, as he releases more criminals and unlawful enemy combatants. And Kenney, like New York City’s Bill de Blasio, continue to play this insidious politically-correct game of Islamapoligism that dismisses the enemy and treats them as common criminals.
What Edward Archer did, just as the Islamic jihadist in Chattanooga, has everything to do with Islam — and you know what? Whom shall we believe, the person who shot Officer Hartnett, or some foolish progressive leftist such as Kenney?
When ISIS reads from the Koran before raping young girls, well, that has everything to do with Islam and the onus is not on us to deny it. The responsibility lies with Muslims to reform their religion and stand with liberty-loving people — such is what Dr. Zhudi Jasser does, and he has death threats levied against him.
I just have to ask, how many of you have seen the documentary film, “Honor Diaries?” Now, ask yourself why is it that a group like the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) seeks to block the showing of that film? And right along with Kenney, we shared with you HR 569, introduced by House Democrats, that would criminally punish anyone expressing “offensive” or “hateful” words towards Islam, just like UN Resolution 16/18.
This is why we must acknowledge there is an unholy alliance between liberal progressive socialists and Islamo-fascists. Yep, I best be careful because people like Kenney and Obama would have me prosecuted for the words written here…
